On Saturday 14th of June we attended the Mareeba McDonald outlet at approx. 4pm. We are 2 couples who are in our 70s and retired business owners. On entering we were barged into by some teenage boys who were running thru the outlet. The cafe looked dirty with full/overflowing bins and rubbish on tables and the floor. We went up to the counter to place our order. No one approached or even gave any eye contact. Meanwhile a soft drink had been spilt near the entrance and the customer had told one of the staff. After 10 minutes of waiting and being invisible to the staff I reiterated to the staff member that there was ice on the floor and someone needs to clean it up before a senior customer has a bad accident. 5 minutes later a young boy came out with a yellow sign and placed it in the liquid .... but no mop! By this time it was obvious that no one was going to serve at the counter so we used the self-service. Another senior gentle man had been waiting for 15 minutes and we told him to use the self-serve ... he said he couldn't see properly so we helped him with the self-serve machine. Is this how McDonalds treats seniors?? Customer service none existent ... surly staff overworked and an understaffed outlet. Where is the McD QA on checking franchises? On reading the Google feedback on this store it needs to be closed down. Poor quality food, wrong orders, purse snatching, rude surly staff,. A group of teens who regularly wreck the toilets, Excrement smeared on the walls of the toilets; no paper or soap in the toilets. How can someone pay anywhere from $1.4 to $2 million for a franchise and run it like this?? On the way out we noticed near the children's playground 4 bottles of glue and spilt glue on the table. Obviously, the teenagers (check video of one dressed in black with a black cap who barged into me.) were glue sniffing.... McDonalds has reached a new low.... see photos. I reported this (glue) to the girl who finally was mopping up the spilt drink some 20 minutes after it happened. See didn't seem surprised and mumbled something about the manager not being there. We then left absolutely shocked by the experience and how low McDonalds standards have become. As I stated we have all run businesses but the standard of hygiene; customer service and safety of customers at this outlet is atrocious. I HAVE SENT THIS TO MACDONALDS HEAD OFFICE AND AWAIT...

Read moreThe staff couldnt care less about me being in the store during their team meeting behind the front counter with consistent foul language between the staff members describing their disgusting personal lives as I order my meal. The manager wanted me to understand that they have had a long night, and that he understands what I am saying in regards to the way they refuse service to indigenous children when they use foul language amongst themselves as they order yet took zero responsibility for what him and his staff subjected me to as I ordered. The shame on the staffs faces and voices as I was served and their refusal to answer my questions regarding their choices of words made me understand they know exactly how bad their actions had been. The anxiousness in the managers body language as I talked to him and his absence of empathy or explanation made me ensure he can't ignore me now. They should be offered more training as they had zero customer service, zero respect and next to no understanding of what my point was. Watch the camera footage just past 9pm of the staffs faces and body movements as they realise im mad about what im hearing and proceed to question them. I hope you still...
