McDonald's — Restaurant in Queensland

I only went through the drive-thru the couple of times I've been here. But both times the food had really hit the spot.

I pass through on road trips mainly, and the latest time I went was after 3 days of camping with raining weather, flat tyre and a jump start being called in.

But when I went there on my trip home, let me tell you, it was the BEST F*CKING FOOD I'd ever eaten!

This may be partially due to the drama on my trip, but isn't that what you want from Macca's?

Let's face it, it's not always everyone's first choice of a restaurant to go to. They aren't known for 5 star Michelin dishes or fancy gourmet delicacies, but there's a reason we default to "let's get Macca's" more often than any other chain.

We go there at our most needed times, like when we are recovering from a big night out, on a roadtrip, after work or a sports game or if we haven't got anything out for dinner and it's too late to defrost anything.

And isn't it just the best thing when you are in those situations, and you go to a place that you expect to be average, but then it actually just hits the spot in the right kind of way and ends up tasting like the best thing you've ever eaten?

Well that's this place does just that. It totally just hit the spot after my camping trip and made my day. And isn't that what you'd want from a place like this?

This location is "good ol' reliable" when I'm passing through. They haven't disappointed me yet.

Absolute rubbish. Everything you read here is true. Food quality, poor. Cleanliness, poor. Service, poor. Amenities, dirty- poor. Speed, slow, poor. Drive through wait times a joke, extremely poor. Average age of worker 12years. Average age of Manangers 16years. Average age of regional Manager 17years. Constantly, consistently and repeatedly providing all the above mentioned. Would have to rank this store the Absolute worst in the country. Here's the thing, the owner couldn't give a hoot. Wonder if he and she would entertain the quests in there very own restaurant. Disgusting people. Most likely spat and walked over any and everyone they could to enhance there riches. Just cashing in on the McDonald's brand! So, I enjoy McDonald's food. All orders ( counter or drive through ) are now checked for quality, quantity and completeness. If anything is not upto a good standard, it goes back. That's around half the time. Just went through maccas drivethru to pick up 2 coffee frappes which myself and the car infront of me had to take a park for as they were changing the syrup, which i was fine with thats understandable... but due to the drivethrus poor planning the parks are not clear and the car infront of me didnt move forward enough causing me to block the car behind me, when the girl (young girl with black hair in 2 braids with a white christmas shirt on) brought out our drinks came to my car i mentioned that maybe they should paint some lines atleast to make it more clear that the first car is supposed to move forward more, towbuch she responded to very condescending and said "yeah I'll just do that on my next shift eh?" This in my opinion was very rude and also very typical of highfields maccas particularly and all maccas service, considering this is the 3rd time ive had poor experiences at this maccas I will not be coming back and i dont recommend this maccas to anyone... if i could give no...
