Merlo Wyalla Café | Toowoomba — Restaurant in Queensland

Thought we were at a truck stop. Staff poorly groomed & loud. Partner took me for valentine's breakfast. First up I ordered a carrot & ginger juice only to be informed 'I better check if I have a carrot left'. Then I ordered vegetarian brushetta on Turkish bread. My partner then ordered a smoothie only to be informed 'we don't have icecream so you'll have to have ice' & a savoury mince dish. Our drinks came out. My juice was Sour as nothing like they used to be. My partners mince came out & he ate it. He was finished & they finally appeared with mine stating 'Oh sorry she missed your order'. I stated I had asked Turkish bread. She just said "I didn't hear that' Dropped 2 free coffee cards & walked off. My food was not good and by now I was needing to get to work. We decided to take the 2 free coffees with us. Both had burnt milk mine went in the bin at work. Just a disgraceful experience from start to finish. Never again. If you are a fan of the Merlo menu i would have to recommend you skip this location and head to the city instead.

We used to come here nearly every week and I am not sure what happened but the service just went terribly downhil. Ridiculously long waits (often a free coffee will be given. But after the 5th free coffee card for waiting more than 45mins for a order. It doesn't cut it anymore)

The food quality used to be amazing. Flavourful and delicious. Now it is very very very average.

Ordered the steak sandwich on the 12/5/23. Well, I have had a few times before and was always delicious, but on this day it was terrible. The Turkish roll tasted Style, steak was small, and the rest of the toppings well I would have loved to have seen more on it. The side serve of chips was very small, very disappointing as well. Beetroot on it would be nice. The coffee wasn't the best. I certainly won't be ordering this again. Will not be going back here again in a hurry.
