Miss Cocoa's Coffee Roastery Drive Thru — Restaurant in Queensland

We use the drive thru quite regularly and are always super happy with our coffee and the service.

However, I went through a couple days ago and ordered cappuccino on oat milk which was misheard. I got to the pay window where my order was confirmed as cappuccino on soy milk. I said “oh sorry, that was oat milk”.

So she uses her headset to communicate that with the baristas. I get to the next window and the lady goes to hand me my coffee and says “It’s on soy, is that okay?”. I paused for a second and said “ummm” and she replies with “well I did repeat the order back to you a few times”.

She said it once. . . She obviously didn’t hear me when I ordered and I didn’t hear her when she spoke back through the speaker box. Just not sure why the attitude was necessary and why a remake...

It’s actually very impressive to see a café like this on a servo. But it still doesn’t meet the expectations of a “coffee roaster”.

The staff was made of three high school girls who didn’t have much interest in coffee let alone be experts. They don’t serve filter coffee despite the fact that they sell a batch brew machine. They only serve in takeaway cups even if you sit in which is a disgrace!

The smoothie and a protein ball were very average, but must admit the long black was good.

Once again, for a service station this is an outstanding quality, but keep in mind this is located in the middle of the town not on a freeway. Would definitely choose other cafés over this...

This place is just perfect. Whether I'm driving through to get my coffee before work, or sitting in on my day off, it is always a pleasant experience. They have treats and gifts, delicious food, excellent coffee and friendly staff. I just sat reading a book on my day off enjoying the sounds of the beans roasting - which they do in house! There were no loud or rude staff chatting their morning away, they are always doing something and busy without being frantic, engaging without being intrusive. I highly recommend this place to any passing...
