NQ Prawn Cutlets — Restaurant in Queensland

This is not a restaurant. It's a wholesale seafood store opened for public, meaning everyone is welcome and you'll enjoy the best prices. We discovered this store in 2018 and were very pleased with quality and prices. This year, 2024, the store has not disappointed. The same great quality and price. The store has a disadvantage: the selection is limited but... everything you see is really fresh. Unlike other seafood stores which sell prawns cooked and frozen on a boat, this store gets the raw prawns from fishermen, and cooks them on site. I am not sure, whether the guy at the counter is the owner, but he certainly places the client's satisfaction above the profits. When we asked which prawns are tastier, he suggested the cheapest ones as his favorite, and, indeed, they were the best. I ordered our seafood for Christmas lunch on recommendation and it certainly didn't disappoint! Friendly service when ordering over the phone, given an order number for seamless collection on Christmas Eve. Pricing was very reasonable compared to other places we've bought from.

We enjoyed cooked Endeavour prawns, Morton Bay bugs and Tassie oysters, all absolutely best quality and wonderfully fresh, our 20 guests all tucked in and commented the bugs in particular were the best they'd ever had.

Will definitely buy from this great family...
