Definitely will be coming back. Had a fantastic night here great venue, great service and even better food. I ordered the texan parmy and was definitely not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly and was a great departure from the standard parmy. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of my meal as I ate it as soon as I could, however I did get a photo of the fantastic pizza that my partner got (Meatlovers) it was massive and she only ordered the small so definitely had to take that home in a doggy bag. Having the ability to get any sides you'd like from the bistro was brilliant, definitely grabbed too much but loved all of it. It's very easy to see why it's always so busy and why people keep coming back.

Traditional Parmy with chips, salad and gravy on the side was a solid feed at a fair price. 400g Kilcoy rump on my second visit was also a good feed at a reasonable price as far as pub steaks go. If you are going to visit more than once or hang around for more than a couple of drinks, a membership will pay for itself. There are still a few dining options to explore in town, though I will definitely return to dine here in the future.

The wife and I took a day trip out to Oakey on the King's Birthday. We did some bird watching at a local park and then tried the RSL club for lunch. Do your self a favour and drop in on your next field trip. My wife went for the traditional Chicken Parmy and I tried the Crumbed Steak for a change. Both were a treat!

Oakey RSL is a small club in a town just to the west of Toowoomba and well worth the additional drive out of THAT town! The staff are helpful and all have a smile on their faces when dealing with patrons, the meals are not only delicious but innovative and subject to change to reflect the change of seasons. Entertainment is provided routinely during the working week and Saturday nights to accompany the delicious food, and the bar is always ready for a challenge for an exotic drink if that is your pleasure. There is fairly good parking available either within the club grounds or on the street and is well illuminated of an evening. If you are travelling through the area, give yourself a treat...

This place has been my go to for a lovely friday steak for 13 years and it's so great to see that it's still as lively and tasty as the first day that I walked in. There's definitely some familiar faces but plenty more new ones haha. One of my favourites as of late has to be my man Ed at the bar. He always has something positive to say and not a say goes by where he isnt jelking. Having a great chuckle with the staff and goonballs at the RSL have and always will be some of my favourite memories....
