Rainbow Cafe Mount Morgan — Restaurant in Queensland

Pulled into town, got told that the Rainbow cafe was a great place for a meal by the guys at the railway museum. We checked it out, has the old school look and feel of the 80’s - 90’s take away, ordered a fish burger, works burger & a serve of chips. Burgers were amazing, fish was actually battered and cooked for the burger, not a frozen block so commonly seen now, the salad was fresh as was the roll. Stopped in here on our travels for dinner. Had the hamburger & salad and it was delicious. It wasn't named moonlite though (think it was rainbow) but it's right where it is on the maps. Staff were lovely and the owner was great to chat to. She said one of her more popular items was her house made deep fried hamburger patties. I'm hoping we have time to drop in on the way back through to try it; otherwise it'll have to be our next time through. Great value for money. Do yourself a favour...

Very disappointing. Took 45minutes for food to arrive. All the food was cold when it did finally arrive. Food was left sitting in a cold baimarie whilst they took 20 minutes to make coffee. My long black was lukewarm! When I complained to the first assistant she mumbled I will go see and never returned.
