This was honestly one of the more unusual dining experiences I’ve had, but I’ll stick to the facts and let you be the judge. We came here for lunch when it was quiet. A man (who looked like the owner) dressed in traditional clothes and barefoot gave us two menus each. At first, we thought he’d given us duplicates, since they looked identical and weren’t labelled. Turns out one was for food and one for drinks, the only way to tell was that the food one was slightly thicker. When we said aloud that we hadn’t realised, he quickly replied, “That’s why I gave you two each.” Not exactly rude, but it felt a bit dismissive. Almost immediately after, the waiter came over and asked if we wanted drinks, even though we’d barely opened the menu. We said we needed a moment. A minute later he came back again. We ended up just asking for table water, to which he responded, “Oh, just tap water then…” in a tone that came off a bit dismissive. He then pointed out a service light on the table that we could tap if we needed anything, though oddly enough, he still returned very quickly without us tapping. The food itself came out promptly and was good for the price. However, the same waiter consistently set dishes down on just one side of the table, even when they clearly belonged on the other side, and at one point expected my young son to pass them across. It struck me as unusual, and I eventually suspected that he might be on the spectrum. I don’t say this disrespectfully - it’s worth mentioning so that future diners don’t misinterpret his manner as intentionally rude. Overall the food was reasonably good but the service style was… unconventional. It didn’t ruin the meal, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re considering dining here.

I can see there are some complaints about the prices being too high for Vietnamese cuisine, but I have to say that the quality of the food and the service are outstanding. The cost is justified by the excellent service provided both by staffs and the owner. This isn't the best choice if you're simply looking for an affordable-priced meal, but it's highly recommended if you want great food and a pleasant atmosphere to relax with friends. The staff and owner are exceptionally friendly, and the restaurant's interior decoration is authentically Vietnamese. It beautifully showcases Vietnamese tradition and culture to the world. The owner excels in training the staff, ensuring top-notch food quality, and investing in the decor to create an authentic Vietnamese ambiance. If I can visit Cairns again, I will definitely come back to visit this restaurant!

We dined here on our last day in Cairns. Seeing from outside the restaurant is quite decorative and live Viet music and so. Not too busy so we had a good table and the food serving time is okay. The menu is confusing to read, despite various dishes offer. We got the Nam Dinh Pho and dessert with mung beans and ginger. Well, with the price of nearly $24 a bowl of pho, I expected it to be good or at least better than $16 pho somewhere else but it wasn’t. The meat was plenty was that’s all the highlight. Dishes are on salty side and nothing stand out that worth that price. The dessert was served in ridiculously small tea cup for the price of nearly $11. Not even a normal cup or small bowl but a tea cup. Seriously never come back again for this price. Staff was fine, nothing to complain.

I recently ordered a meal for myself on DoorDash. I was so happy with it! First time in ages I have gotten a meal and thought it was actually worth the price. Food these days has been getting poorer in quality (from what I can only assume is because everyone is trying to cut cost in this economy) so I often go in with low expectations after being so disappointed frequently lately.

I was so happy with my cocospork I told my partner about it. We ordered food from their tonight and it was just as good as the first time. We tried the bbq pork. The flavours are authentic and very well balanced. I tried things I’d never come accross before and wasn’t sure what they were, but was super happy with the experience of trying new foods and then be so delicious. Will definitely come back to try more.

My only criticism is that the picketed carrot and cucumber and side salad were missing. I also thought $6 for a soft drink was quite unreasonable. But these are only mild issues and not enough to spur my image...

We were really looking forward to trying this restaurant on our recent holiday to cairns. Unfortunately we never got the chance. Despite making an online booking and paying a $10 per person booking fee(???) the maître de informed us that he did not have our booking and couldn’t seat us even tho the restaurant was only roughly 1/3 full? When questioned about their booking system no one seemed to know what was going on. They did offer to seat us after informing us that it would be a minimum of 45 mins for first course. We gave up at this point, it is still unclear if we’ve been refunded the booking fee or not, walked around the block to find somewhere to have dinner and 5 mins later they had their closed sign up.. Not good enough. can’t recommend this one unfortunately.. there are much better places just around the corner (we found out...
