The Beach Hut Cafe & Juice Bar — Restaurant in Queensland

I’ve been here twice and unfortunately have been disappointed both times which is such a shame as I’ve just moved to the area and liked the fresh vibe of the place.

The first time I ordered a smoothie and it was extremely watered down and honestly tasted like an expensive apple juice

Second time I ordered an açai bowl, sizing was really small, and the mango was frozen, it was cold and hard to chew.

Staff were honestly cold and seemed unhappy - got out of the way of the staff coming through the door, didn’t get a thank you or a smile back. Both times I’ve come here the staff just aren’t upbeat at all, not the best atmosphere. The American guy who served me was lovely however, so not all staff.

Also the extra surcharge was almost $2 extra than the actual price. I understand everyone charges a surcharge these days but almost $20 for a tiny bowl of açai (when it was advertised for 16) is robbery

Won’t be returning which sucks as I love açai...

Ordered 2 coffees for takeaway. 20 minutes later we finally got them but not before they were given to someone else mistakenly. The staff were friendly but seemed overwhelmed by the Saturday morning rush. I wouldn’t consider the amount of people a rush. They give out tickets with your order number but then just give out orders randomly. Hopefully they were just having a bad morning. Maybe will try again another time. Otherwise the coffee...
