Soggy undercooked frozen vegetables with my husband's lamb shank meal. The ... "salad bar".... well you know that cheap arse nasty faux-pesto pasta they use as a side that tastes like year 9 Home Ec students made? Tastes exactly that way. I wasn't even game to try the potato and egg salad.

The completely unseasoned porterhouse steak was edible, but average. Fancy not putting some kind of rub or seasoning on a steak. Points that I could even chew most of it - which is massive achievement given I'm 6 weeks into wearing fixed metal braces on my teeth. Even before before braces, it was a challenge to eat around all the gristle of their cheap and nasty cuts of steak.

Some nights you actually get served something of an acceptable quality, but obviously the chef went on holiday, and the work experience kid from tafe was called in and cooked our dinner between watching tik toks and blasting cones out the back. Yes I joke. It's probably not funny, but every mf thing they served us tonight had zero finesse and was full of the usual cheapskate shortcuts which are typical of the mediocre fare served here in this great town. Only giving 3 stars because occasionally they seem to have a chef in there that actually knows...

Had a great game of golf, unfortunately didn’t get to finish as we was chasing the sun. Went back to the clubhouse for some food and a beer. They refused our whole group service (ages ranged from 26-30) due to myself aged 26 not having my wallet on me (I have facial hair, tattoos and an English accent from travelling across the world). I have not been ID in years and to refuse the whole group of a service is ridiculous. I even had a photo of my Australia and English license on my phone to show them. Staff got very rude and was laughing and talking about it from behind the bar. Lots of people inside the bar was talking about how ridiculous it is was. Extremely bad service after a game of golf on a Sunday.

Whilst I was in there I saw another group get denied service because one of the younger ones it seemed wore a cap as he entered the clubhouse (I understand you shouldn’t do that) but from what I saw he took it off when asked and apologised . Ridiculous really, if they keep treating younger people like that no one will be playing the course and these places will shut down.

I’d give it a...

Just come back from what I would say, a waste of time going there. Rsl owned, have to get your birthday discount from the main RSL, then travel to the Clubhouse to have lunch Ordered a Lemon, lime and bitters to be told, they didn't have any Ordered lunch and paid for it, to be then visited and told they didn't serve a bowl of veggies which I paid for Went to get the salad from the salad bar that I paid extra for and found a platter of lettuce leaves, potato, curry pasta, empty tray of onion something oily, shredded cabbage and carrot salads. Asked if I could have some tomatoes and was told they had none. The food was terrible, no trained cook or chef would own up to it that I know. Only redeeming feature was the steak. As for service, the waitress brought the food to the table and spilt one plates chips over the table and left. Our suggestion is DONT GO THERE! DONT...

Came here last year and had a great experience so we decided to go back again this year but unfortunately had quite the opposite experience. We ordered 3 of the $12 toppers which they forgot to put them on the meals. When they came out though they were in a tiny bowl and definitely not worth $12 plus they weren’t great at all. I also ordered a burger and ended up eating it without the beef patty cause it was still red inside. We had a young kid serving us who was doing all he could but the older lady who I’m pretty sure was the manager that eventually came out was very unhelpful and unapologetic. We had friends that went there the next day for lunch and they had a better experience so I don’t know if they have two chefs that switch shifts but for the price we paid it was very disappointing

Absolutely love the hospitality here at the Clubhouse, we are regular visitors if it's just for a quick drink overlooking the amazing scenery of the golf course or we are here to put away their amazing well priced and high quality meals! Tonight we had the double beef burger and the Tropico chicken snitty, both meals came out fast, hot and loaded with value. Always served with a smile by the amazing staff and the vibe is always busy (which is a testament to the meals) but it's always so relaxed. Must be the all the greenery around the course. Highly recommend!

This is run by Hervey Bay RSL, and you can use your membership card here. I like to dine here. It's been consistent in quality and is not overly loud. There's sometimes live music, but it's not so loud you have to yell at people to talk to them. The tables are close together so it can be difficult to manoeuvre between them sometimes. You have to order at the cashier, then your meal will be delivered to your table. Drinks have to be purchased at the bar. The menu rarely changes, but it is varied with something for most people.
