Moonrock Cafe — Restaurant in Richmond

Stopped in this morning, grabbed a couple of coffees and a gluten free toastie, all of which were excellent. The big letdown for us, was we sat outside in the provided seats and tables, and a staff member from inside, decided that was a good time for a smoko, which they took beside us, right in front of the no smoking signs, and lit up a cigarette!! From the amount of cigarette butts on the ground, right in front of the said no smoking sign, it wasn’t a first. We found this disgusting and got up and left. I think we must have gone during off season or something but it seemed closed. Went inside, very dark and gloomy. Took forever to get a coffee and it was pretty bad. Wasn’t even very warm. Couple next to us had been waiting a long time for their coffee as well and sent it back when it came out complaining it was cold. Was looking in the gift shop and the postcards were all almost gone, only one 3D postcard left. Was interested in the exhibit but no one was at the counter and the cafe staff didn’t promote it or mention it which I found strange. It’s the only place in town really so beggars can’t...

Great cafe and friendly staff and owner. Caters for a wide range of dietary needs including gluten-free, Gluten and vegetarian. Large range of foods and delicious. Very reasonably on cost. Service is great 👍. Pet friendly outside. Under cover outside and internal air-conditioning eatery. Highly recommend if you want a good meal, a smile and great service then come here if visiting Richmond.
