Parkview Cafe — Restaurant in Singleton

Came in at 1:50pm when the kitchen closes at 2pm and cafe itself closes at 3pm. Went inside and all the chairs were already up on the tables. Stood at the counter only to be just stared at by the young staff member standing in the kitchen, no greeting or anything. They didn't say anything to me so I asked if they were still open for food as all the chairs were up, and they said yes but the kitchen closes in 10 minutes so we need to order fast. I said that's okay. Still getting nothing from them I asked Do we sit anywhere? They then said they will have to take down chairs with a blank expression. They took some chairs down and we sat down and were going to eat in but then decided to just get takeaway as everything about their cold demeanor and lack of proactiveness showed they wanted us out of the cafe ASAP. Not sure if they didn't have any much customer service experience or were just impatient to close the cafe early, but either way the whole interaction was...

Stopped for lunch on a long drive through as we like to support local businesses. Unfortunately we found the prices to be quite steep compared to other places along the route and even in Sydney. $16 for a toasted Turkish is quite excessive when it comes simply as a sandwich with no sides. The menu was also quite lacking in choice and description. The Parkview Burger was tasty however the wraps are quite plain at their high price point. We had one person at the table not receive their food until everyone else was finished which is just a pet peeve of mine in any establishment. Poor customer service. Unfriendly staff. I stopped by the cafe on a long drive to home. I was tired and thirsty. It was 2:45pm and I saw a couple of staff just started closing. I checked with the opening hours at the front and it said open until 3 pm. I asked a staff if I could order something but then she said no because the kitchen is closed. She didn’t even offer cold drinks from fridge just kept stacking chairs. Very rude attitude. I passed McDonalds, Hungry Jack and KFC to support local businesses....
