First they complained about us changing tables. She didn't realise I was standing there. Ordered crumbed whiting with veggies got veggies and chips not potato. Whiting was nice though. When I said I don't eat chips she said at the top of her voice walking away can't send it back now. The lady next to us commented how rude it was. Steak was supposed to come with chat potatoes and veggies came again with chips and veggies. Was supposed to get pepper gravy with another steak and got plain gravy. 3 of us had finished our meal by at least 10 mins then the fourth meal came. Vodka lemon lime and soda is a dash of lime not half a glass of lime it was so sweet I couldn't drink it even after topping it up with more soda water. The table next to us sent 2 meals back. 1 wrong steak and 1 was supposed to be med rare and was well cooked. OMG the eye roll on the waitress when they asked to have them replaced. The waitresses here would get a job at Karen's Diner easy. They wouldn't have to...
Read moreThe risdon hotel has been on and off as the most recommended pub in pirie to visit, with the recent chamge or management and staff it is a much more friendly place to eat. I had a chicken snitzel which was cooked perfectly and was of a reasonable size with a large serving of chips and assorted salad (i couldnt finish my plate) The two with me have a beef snitzel and a scotch fillit steak, the beef snitzel was cooked well and eazy to cut (eazy to over cook and it yet was great) and the steak was asked to be cooked medium rare, most places you go too they never seem to cook steak right, the risdone is an exeption it was cooked as requested but the size could have been better. We were able to get our meals fairly quick but that can change depending on how busy it is
If your going to get a side i do recommend there garlic bread, hope you found my review helpful and it make your decision easier thank you for taking the...
Read moreCame here with a large group pretty much without warning for lunch on a Thursday following a funeral. The staff quickly greeted us and provided a jug with water for the flowers we were carrying. The menu was reasonably priced and the beer as well. (Coming from Adelaide it would seem a buck or two cheaper). Bread rolls with lunch was refreshing and the choice of salad or vegetables always nice touch. I went with vegetables. The dining area was almost full and considering this, meals came out at a reasonable pace. My chicken schnitzel Hawaiian was thick, cooked well and did not lack topping. The vegetables, while ok in taste, were soggy and clearly not fresh. Overall i was pleased to eat here and may drop by again should I find myself...
