This place was fairly crowded, so the chatter was all good, but it was happy chatter and I loved it. We were sitting next to a table that obviously had someone pretty special sitting at it. This lady had a uniform on and I asked her later if she was the owner, but she told me her son was and she worked with him. Absolutely lovely lady named Jodi. Everyone that came in or went out past her, said hello or see you later and warm hugs often exchanged... it was such a lovely thing to see. It made me feel comfortable enough to want to sit there for a few hours, on a regular basis, when my husband is off doing what he does best (a Driving Instructor, but with hand controls that none of the locals have access to), and know that I would be safe and "amongst friends". I have already booked my table for the next trip. We had a (we think it was called...) Thai Chicken Salad (it is called Asian Chicken Salad) that was absolutely sensational! Will be ordering ahead for that again me thinks LOL. So clean and fresh to eat. Service was really great, all the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Thanks all, we will be back.
Well, we went back, and yes, had the Asian Chicken Salad, which was just as delicious as last time.
Blake, Jodi and the whole team, took really good care of me again today (25th Sept). I so enjoyed watching the camaraderie between the staff... it was lovely to see. I had time to do quite a bit of work while sitting in the corner against the front windows. And once again, we...
Read moreWe travelled from Moonta Bay to catch up with friends for lunch. Food was really tasty and had a variety of interesting selections on the menu. Staff were friendly and provided good service. Our only complaint which put a damper on our otherwise very pleasant experience was the very obvious attempt to close on time. We sat outside and the inside blind on our window was pulled down well before 2.30.When we went to order coffee and cake around 2.20 we were told they were closing at 3 o'clock and one side of the cafe was packed up. But the biggest inconvenience was the unavailability of the toilets. One of our group attempted to use the toilets at 2.20 and 2.35 to find they were closed for cleaning. On his third attempt ( 2.45), he was told they had been cleaned and were unavailable. He was redirected to public toilets on the foreshore. ( a good 5 min walk away). Not always convenient for someone in their 70's who has already waited a...
Read moreFor a business that prides themselves on “a family-owned business with award winning customer service” have the rudest, most disrespectful staff I have ever come across. And with half the town saying the same thing to what I experienced today must show for something. Now I will say their food and drinks are amazing! But their staff and customer service are something else. And I feel the need to let everyone know how disrespectful these people are towards other people especially customers that provide the income to their business. I would highly recommend not supporting such a business that shows such little respect to their customers and other people of the Port Pirie community. (This review is based off multiple encounters with this business, not just...
