A Port Pirie Gem: Church of Fish and Chips Wow, what a fantastic find! I can't recommend the Church of Fish and Chips in Port Pirie enough. The food was absolutely sensational. I had the Whiting, and it was cooked to perfection—beautifully flaky with a light, crispy batter. The portion sizes were incredibly generous, definitely more than I could finish, but I gave it my best shot because it was just that good.

Beyond the incredible food, the service truly sets this place apart. The staff were so friendly, helpful, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. They made the entire experience wonderful.

I was also impressed by their selection of local Flinders Ranges wines, which was a lovely surprise and a great way to support local businesses.

If you're in Port Pirie and looking for top-quality fish and chips with a side of genuinely great service, make this your first stop. You won't be...

Just to start OMG, I stayed in Port Augusta for work for 6months, i drove to Port perri 3x week with my puppy border collie just to eat at barnical bills, i was there while they were renovating. When they had their grand opening , I was so impressed with all the freshness and variety of the food and friendly staff the owners when beond to fill my order . I told all my friends and family to pop in when they were in the area it was more better than I remembered from yrs ago with my young family in Adelaide. I come from a family of chefs and restaurants owner, and I carnt praise these owner anymore, i found out just recently nothing had change, today the company has still fresh variety of food and friendly people working there. Im travelling around Au for work atm , but when I get back to Adelaide ill be going for a drive to Port perri Barnicals Bills . Keep up the...

Me and my family visited the restaurant tonight and l ordered the Grill Burger but when the burger was bought to our table the bun was burned it was black and l was shocked and in disbelief the burger was given to me like that and l told the waitress / young lady who placed it on table "This burger it burned it shouldn't look like this " she was going to leave it on the table she paused then she took it away . I had to wait again for the same burger which looked normal and the bun was not black / burnt. But l couldn't eat it for it had me feeling some sort of a way so l just lefted it on the table . l was in disbelief that they would serve a customer like this. I still dont...

Not the best experience. Average food (chips were served cold and fish was far too greasy). Service was well below average. Not the friendliest workers in the industry. Found a hair in my fish. When I bought it to the workers attention, she simply replied, "okay".. didn't even acknowledge me and disposed of the dish without getting back to me. Was very disappointing.. got the impression that it was a business that's run with little focus on food quality or customer care. Cool idea of the building being an old church. Regardless, would not be returning here on any occasion.

We were visitors to Port Pirie recently, & whilst looking for lunch venue, we came across a sign outside the beautiful church, "Daily lunch Special $9.90" T/Away..it consisted of Butterfish, prawns, calamari, salad & chips & a can of drink. OMG.. the service was very friendly, Prompt, hot, fresh and plentiful. We actually could have shared one serve, but bought one meal each. The seagulls enjoyed the left over chips. One of the salads can wait until tomorrow. Definately recommend this food venue, great selection of freshly cooked seafood, delicious. Thank You 😋😊

Me and my partner went at an early time so it was very peaceful and quiet. Staff was quite pleasant and was happy to give suggestions to us. I ordered the battered whiting fish while my partner ordered the single platter with prawns, scallops, and calamari + greek salad. The battered fish and platter wasn’t too greasy which was good. Fish was also very fresh. We found the tartare sauce was a tad bit too sweet. Overall, a good experience and they have a really neat concept for a fish and chips place. Will definitely come back when we’re in the area :)
