We booked a table for 4 people from 6pm to 7:30 pm on 9th of July. We spent $110 at that night. We arrived at 5:55pm. It's 5 minutes early. It was packed. We stood in the long queue to be sitted and then we can pick up their menu. It took us more than 10 minutes waiting in the long queue until see an unwelcomed and unfriendly young lady employee at front desk. We finished our order at 6:13pm .We waited at the table for over 40 minutes finally our meals were put on the table .it was 6:50pm. Yes , that is right. We only start to eat at 6:50pm with two super bored and hungry kids. One of employees came to our table at 7:17pm said to us " kindly remind you you have to leave at 7:30pm. " we were also going to order to some dessert . So When I heard this. Definitely NO. You don't not deserve me pay more money there. We booked a table for one and half hour. It's not half an hour. Even we have a meal at KFC with our kids. It's always more than half an hour. The food is ok but it is not fantastic. Except steaks, burgers ang pizza,Some food are combined with the Chinese food you can tell from the menu . The chef is highly suspicious an Chinese chef. You even can tell from the salad. The burnt pork belly one have no doubt is...

Went to front bar over Easter and it was flat out. Half way through ordering drinks, server goes and grabs tv remote and fiddles with TV for few minutes while I'm waiting to order my other drink. Wasn't friendly and bit of attitude when I asked for a wine menu, it really put me off. Now Easter time was busy so thought we'd go today while it was quiet for a other go. Greeted by same bloke and again rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming behaviour. When we asked for a lunch menu, we were told we had to go to dining room to get it ourself. You'd think bar staff would help and get it for you for their business. Needless to say we were quite disgusted with the service so we finished our round and went 10mins down the road to coobowie pub where we were greeted with friendly staff a smile and great service. Would recommend for anyone to go the extra 10mins for a great country pub down the road. If you don't believe my.words, read the owners rude and arrogant responses and carefree attitude to the other bad reviews, seems a...

Far beyond my expectation! We visit this place just for a quick lunch. We thought this place would be another ordinary hotel bar on the beach, but no. Dalrymple Hotel is definitely worth visiting for their food. We ordered beef schnitzel and scotch fillet steak. The schnitzel was made from porterhouse and it was thick, juicy and tender, unlike thin and tough ordinary pub beef schnitzel. The steak was really great. Great flavour of smoky and char-grilled taste with perfectly cooked as we ordered (medium rare) not many places to cook steak perfectly, especially medium rare. Compliment to the chef. Friendly and careful staff and great sea view over the window. Thick all the boxes. This place should be on your to-do list when you visit Yorke Peninsula.

The food at this pub is ab-so-lute-ly mindblowing. I ate here not one, not two but three times during my five days on the Yorke Peninsula, and each time I ordered something different and was super impressed. Every dish was done the way that specific dish should be done. The lai garb salad was on point, the roasted sweet potato was to die for, and the dumplings were divine. Oh and don’t miss the scallops as starters. I also had the pizza - top notch - and the parmy, which was delicious. This pub could outcompete some of the best gastropubs in London, which is where I’m from. The service is great too, super easygoing, and of course the location means the view is stunning 🤩 This place is worth travelling for.
