As a Peruvian I can say that this is the BEST PLACE YOU CAN GO TO and try the amazing taste of Peru in Australia. Me and my husband randomly found this cafe place in our holiday visit to Pomonal and we were so pleased to finally find a restaurant that has amazing food and it’s true to peruvian culture. Me and my husband have traveled around Australia visiting different “Peruvian” restaurants and we ended up only disappointed but TRUST ME you won’t regret visiting Pachamama Cafe. We ended up visiting every single day of our stay in Pomonal and drove 30 min to the cafe because we couldn’t stop eating the Pan con Chicharron! Tres leches, Vanilla Slice and if you’re in for an adventure you’ll enjoy an amazing lunch too! We will be missing the food but we will be definitely be coming back soon on our next holiday!

Honestly this is my favourite cafe in Victoria. My Peruvian wife and I discovered Pachamama while we were on the road near The Grampians in Stawell. The place was busy and the owner (Giovanna) was running around doing everything. Somehow everything came out in a good time. We tried the Peruvian platter, pan con chicharrón and tres leches. Everything was absolutely delicious! Especially the pan con chicharrón, which is one of my favourite Peruvian dishes. On top of the food being delicious Giovanna is such a down to earth amazing cafe owner and my wife and I wish her the absolute best!

Put aside that you're greeted by a mural wishing everyone had a disability. The coffee here is sub-par and the service very slow. Inside there is three tables, making this prodimently a take away spot. Locals definitely get looked after before visitors. Plenty of other options in this lovely little town.

Wow! Genuine Peruvian is hard to find in Melbourne, yet somehow Stawell has managed to be host to Victoria's newest Peruvian venue. Peruvian food may not be common in Australia, but it is at least equal with French, Japanese and Italian for depth of its cuisine. Great new flavours for anyone's pallet.

We got two Peruvian beef stews, which were absolutely amazing - the beef was slow-cooked perfectly, with yellow lentil and Peruvian yellow chilli (mild/warm) stew. $12 (would be $20+ in Melbourne, and not as good). 10/10.

We got a Peruvian chicken sandwich, which was very tasty with light zest of lime/lemon with herbs. $8.50. 8/10

Lastly, we got a Peruvian pork (chicharron) sandwich, and while appearing delicious yet humble, it was in fact very, VERY delicious, with traditional Peruvian flavours - crispy pork, sliced sweet-potato, onion, and a zesty, citrus vinaigrette that was perfect....

What a cute cafe with lovely owner and delicious food and coffee! My friends and I went for the first time a few weeks ago and we loved the empanadas so much we took some to go and almost cleared her out hehe. My friends also got rolls and muffins there too which they spoke highly of as well.

Since then I've told so many friends back in Melbourne they must visit Pachamama if they ever go out for the weekend a bit earlier, since the cafe is only open Wed-Fri unfortunately. Looking forward to my next visit asap!

If you were open on the weekend I'm sure there would be lots of keen future visitors! :) Thanks so much for the...
