Stawell's New Hong Kong Chinese and Malaysian Restaurant — Restaurant in Stawell

This venue is indubitably the shining gem in the cultural crown that is the Stawell town centre. The decor, though minimalist, accentuates the natural acoustics of the building; there's no difficulty in hearing the conversation at your table, or any other table for that matter! A truly social communal dining experience.

The food has a very authentic home- cooked feel to it. Asian inspired cuisine, with a strong Aussie influence that is sure to not alienate any who might have a more sensitive palate.

So far, this has been the undisputed highlight of my visit to Stawell, and I'll be talking about the unique charm of this little eatery for some time to come.

If I had to give any notes, I would perhaps suggest the bathroom could be enhanced with some way to dry one's hands. A toilet door that is capable of closing would also be a boon, but maybe this place is just ahead of the times on eschewing primitive cultural taboos. I applaud their...

Went here for my partners 30th on the 17th of July. (His request) big Chinese fan. We get takeaway here quite regularly. The owner was very rude arguing with staff in front of everyone. My brother in law tried to order Mongolian beef with egg noodles which is on the menu separately, that was a whole situation. He explained it to the waitress she went and spoke to the owner who then walked out in a huff and was very rude. All our meals come out except one for my sister in law who is 36 weeks pregnant. Again the owner argued with staff and placing blame for all to hear. The meal finally come out and the beef was very salty. We bought it to attention to which the owner walked passed and shrugged. Took the meal and nothing was offered in replacement and still had to pay. Terrible service on the owners part. Our waitress herself was lovely and apologised on the owners behalf. Will not be buying from there again takeaway...

Went there for dinner with friends sat down open our drinks,waitress arrived to ask if we wanted any entrees which we all ordered before we knew it they were asking to order main ,some hadn't got their entrees .Hadn't even finished our first drinks. Waitress said cook was demanding we order Meal was very nice but rushed. Waitress apologised for rush .
