I visited yesterday with my mum and was confronted by poor customer service skills from two young girls. My mum knew them from town and was friendly in making conversation with them. You can tell from the moment we walked in they were sniggering, laughing and teasing us. When we asked about what they had left in the pie warmer they were very rude in their response and kept looking at each other rolling their eyes. Unfortunately the service in was also disappointing with the woman serving me knowingly serving some locals who came in after me, before me and when I added an extra item (god forbid) last minute she huffed and rolled her eyes in annoyance. The pie itself (pepper steak) was so unbelievably salty it was inedible and the chicken sandwich was stale for a premium price. It’s sad considering it’s the only bakery in town…we love our country bakery stops but this one was expensive and staff need some basic training...

Elliot's Bakery & Cafe does too. As I travel, I consistently order a mug of cappuccino and a coffee scroll as breakfast and there was no disappointment here.
The coffee was strong - so they added the extra shot that a mug size requires (unlike quite a number). I ordered something that looked like an (interesting) version of a flattened fruit bun .. and found it delicious. Slightly chewy and with lots of fruit and with a well balanced spice overtaste.
