Cafe 63 Sunshine Plaza — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We’ve been here a few times and enjoyed the coffee and the atmosphere... unfortunately today was unbelievably shocking. We ordered 2 coffees and a baby chino for a 3yr old. He was super excited to get it, he found straws on the table and asked to use one. We obliged. He took one sip and scalded his mouth an chest from the milk. My wife tended to our son as he was very distressed and in a lot of pain as he’d pulled the cup away it spilt down his chest and burnt his chest also. I grabbed the cup and what was left and took it straight to the barista and demanded answers. They were totally dumbfounded! They had know idea what they had done, nor that a baby chino should be foam and chocolate, not 3/4 cup of milk with some foam on top. I demanded to see the manager, the staff were very reluctant to get him as I was furious. When he came out he gave a piss poor apology and I asked him to to test the temperature of the milk. We waited a very long time to be seated and ended up just seating ourselves. The menu is FAR too excessive. It’s overwhelming. My girlfriend and I felt rushed to order after only a minute after seating. The young man would come back every few minutes to ask if we have decided. Maybe if this menu was less overwhelming we could have made a decision easier. I asked for French toast that looked like it came with berries or banana. It was one slice of very sad, soggy, eggy bread on a very large plate with no side of berries. I had to drown it in free table honey. Upon paying, we waited for a while. They have a very strange system at the till with a big ply board of customers order slips, can see them all. We also got charged the incorrect amount. Won’t be coming back. 3 stars for the food coming out quite quickly but it wouldn’t have been hard to soak one slice on bread in egg and plopping...

First time attending this place. Made a booking on their website the day before only to arrive and find out they had no booking. After waiting 15 mins for a table we ordered our breakfast. Eggs bene and canadian pancakes. Coffee was luke warm. We didnt even touch our meals as they were not appertising or worth the money. Eggs bene was cold, and looked thrown together on an english muffin. Pancakes were clearly not made fresh and were cold. They were obviously from a pre made packet as were stacked and identical in shape. Like picklets from coles. They looked like rubber. 1 piece of fatty bacon sitting on the side. Urghhhh. We spoke to the waitress and explained that we are not getting value for money if we eat this and advised her to tell managment of the issue. I can make a better breakfast at home for less. We wont be trying...
