Absolutely appalling service. Waited 45min nearly an hour for food. During that time other customers came in and got there meals not long after. I went in and politely asked one of the staff where our meals were, she rudely told me to go back and sit down, like I was a child and that it was coming out. Finally our meals came, which were just warm. Still waiting on one meal and let the girl know, who then told us, sorry the kitchen is now closed. We said, but we ordered it an hour ago and would like our meal. I did say that this is not good service and asked if there was manager I could speak to, she said she was the supervisor. I said this is not good enough and the supervisor who's name was Courtney told us "well go somewhere else next time". The owners of this Cafe need to hire staff that know how to treat their customers I have never been so disgusted in the way Courtney spoke to us. We had family here on holidays, who could not believe the way we were treated. I would not not recommend this...

We stopped by for brunch on about 10.00am. The service was terrible. 3 people behind the counter and no other customers. None looked like they wanted to be there or serve customers. Ordered. 2 regular flat whites, 1 large flat white, 2 bagels and a vanilla slice. It took at least 15 minutes for the coffee to arrive. All were barely luke warm and very weak. The large flat white had so much froth we couldn't find the coffee. One regular was mainly in the saucer and a serviette was given to me to mop it up. No offer of replacement. The other was at least in its cup. The large flat white was returned and replaced with another that was equally lacking in liquid and full of froth. I think a barista course may be required. The vanilla slice was definitely not fresh. In the cabinet it was disguised in a paper pattypan type cover. When this was removed cracks could be seen in the custard and the pastry was limp and soggy. The bagels were very sparse in filling. We left $52.00 poorer and very...

Had Brunch today. If I could give this zero stars I would. Man serving on counter was slow and abrupt. Milkshakes were very expensive at $7 ea, scrambled eggs were dry and virtually non existent, butter was not melted on toast at all as toast was cold and lastly I then had to go hunting for cutlery as did every other patron I watched. Platform next to window we sat at was dangerous if you sit too close to the edge as chairs could tip off edge causing injury. One chair at next table was half on platform, half on floor below putting chair on angle. No napkins in sight. Table behind us hadn’t been cleared the whole time, window next to us had grotty kids prints on it. Strangely enough a kitchen fridge is located in dining area. Nothing like getting an expensive sub standard meal only to have to get up and hunt around for utensils. I can’t see this restaurant lasting too long. We won’t be going there again...

Worst coffee. I'm a barista at other cafe. So I know how to do coffee. This can't be called coffee. The crema was broken and the milk forth was so bubbly. But the bean taste was fine. I can guarantee this barista doesn't understand coffee. It was so bad. I'm not saying because of latte art. It is because of milk, barista's skills. Honestly, I wasted my money for this such coffee. See large latte. Who will say this is latte and so does flat white. Omg. My cafe will not hire those baristas. I have $100 coffee machine at home. That works much better than this. Their coffee machines are expensive but the baristas just ruin it. Pray for machines and beans. I don't get why people come to drink coffee. Did you guys advertise like Melbourne coffee or something? Thanks I learnt what is the Melbourne coffee

For some time I have been indulging at Little Sparrow cafe, not a cheap cafe. Excellant baked goods and pleasant atmosphere. Today I took home a lemon meringue as I didn't have time to stop at the cafe. I have had the lemon meringue pie several times abd always delicious. Utter disappointment when I got home. There is hardly any lemon. Just dry pastry and meringue that was gritty with sugar. Where is the quality control??? No wonder cafes are going out of business. No customer would go back after being served such a below standard baked good for approx $12. That right, $12 for a small tart. Purse strings are tight these days. I am happy to pay for quality but nobody is happy about throwing away money on inferior products. Check your products before selling them.
