Two years ago I had dinner at China Flute and it was the best Chinese food I have ever had so my Sister was visiting from NSW and wanted to go out for Dinner and I told her about my experience at China Flute and said you must experience this food! So we booked a table for 7 ppl. The experience started to decline the moment we entered the restaurant the restaurant looked tired and unkept we were told by the Young girls positioned behind the service desk our table is the round one around the corner so we wandered in and found our table then a young lady came and handed us a stack of menus then about 15 Minutes later I went to the service desk and asked if someone could come and take our order. We gave our order and one of our entrees came Fried Won tons they were a dark brown colour looked like they had fogotten them in the deep fryer so we asked the girl to have a new bath done she returned with freshly cooked Won Tons followed by spring rolls and round battered greasy balls that they called DIm Sims which were very disappointing. Then the young lady asked if we wanted our Mains. Yes Please hoping that our Entres were not an indication of what was to come. First was Mongolian Lamb My Favourite so ordered 2 servings big mistake It was totally inedible totally over seasoned Sweet and sour was almost edible honey Prawns again almost edible, mixed seafood with ginger and shallots Just edible vegetable fried rice glugy, the steamed rice was excellent We asked the young lady to return the Mongolian lamb to the kitchen she went away and a man come and asked that Wes the problem I explained that the dish was over seasoned and he insisted that they try everything when it leaves the kitchen and there was nothing wrong with it and went away we ate what we could of the other dishes and once again asked the young lady to return the lamb to the kitchen and I went to the service area where Kitchen staff insisted on arguing that there was nothing wrong with the food! I explained about my past experience 2 years prior and was told that I could not compare their food with that of the previous owners and continued to argue and insisted that I must pay the full bill I deducted the value of the Meals returned and paid and was told not to come back again All I can say is Don't bother going if you are looking for an enjoyable...
Read moreI have been coming here for 11 years. It has been about 6 months since I last come back. And it will be the last time I return. The food is absolutely rubbish. The fried rice is hardly fried. More just boils with boils chicken. Not even enough sauce given to accomodate the sweet and Sour pork as it comes seperate. If you like to share your combination satay chicken between 3 you physically can’t. You will have one bit of beef two bits of pork and two bits of chicken per bowl and an tone of mixed veggies to accommodate for the lack of meat. Once confronted, they made up every excuse under the sun. Our fried rice is more boils. We don’t put much soy sauce. Mate it’s only brown cos of the soy in it not cos it’s fried. Then tried to tell me it is a 50/50 mix of veg to meat. Not a chance in hell that was 50/50. Ohhhh combination??? Dosnt that mean prawns. Use to get prawns too. Do not waste your money going here. The manager was extremely rude trying to justify the new way they are doing things. Excuse my punctuation I’m sooooo angry. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. SUPPORT THE ONES THAT DESERVE IT.
It has been now been 11months I personally wouldn’t have went back but it was mums shout. Food is much better and hospitality was great. NOW WORTHY OF A SECOND CHANCE....
Read moreA lovely meal. Table of 4 on the same night as the previous 1 star review. We had an excellent experience. The food was awesome!!!! Two prawn dishes, two chicken dishes and special fried rice. Service was great, one young lady was training and her sidekick attentive. It is a small family run restaurant. The table next door to us which was a larger group, were the only problem the whole meal. They ate the food and then tried to get a free meal by making a song and dance about It, AFTER it was eaten and time to pay!! They even got their little kids in on it while they ranted and yelled at the staff and kitchen, refusing to pay in front of other patrons!! The staff handled it well without a raised voice. The chef stepped in to protect his younger waitresses. Kudos to them all. I would have lost my lolly if someone had yelled up in my face that way. This is a lovely little restaurant, so please do try it for youself. You must have the king prawn omlette if that is a fav!! I will definitely...
