Club Kawana — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

The stafff and management are terrible!! Went for dinner tonight 6.30pm and ordered a fresh ham, cheese and tomato sandwich from the Cafe. At first I was confused why they had given me a buzzer when they had about 7 of the sandwiches already made up in the cabinet. When I received the sandwich it was clear they had used one of the made up sandwiches that had likely been sitting there all day as the bread was so soggy from the tomato it was inedible. I took it back and explained this to the FOH staff and she offered if I would like another one or something else. Knowing they would just give me another one out of the cabinet I asked for a refund. She said she couldn't assist and had to wait for the duty manager. After making me wait at the counter for 10minues she asked where I was sitting and would send the manager over. The rest of our party had then finished their meals and we were ready to leave. I approached the counter to see the manager for the refund. The manager brought out my returned soggy sandwich and said it wasn't that bad. I explained the bread was soggy from the tomato and I couldn't eat it. She replied 'I guess I'm hungry but it's not that bad'. I said I couldn't eat it and I'd like a refund. Then the FOH staff member came out and said it was a fresh sandwich that she had made because there was none in the cabinet. I explained there was several in there when i ordered and questioned why they were arguing when all I wanted was a refund for the soggy sandwich. The manager disappeared and returned with a reciept and proceeded to tell me that I had ordered at 6.50 and got the sandwich before 7pm and it took me 15 minutes to return the soggy sandwich, yet again trying to argue with me. She finally gave in a refunded my $5.50.... what an...

Omg x 2. We had one of the chefs specials, beef cheeks. $17. 60 and it was absolutely fantastic. We only joined for the first time last night as we are new to the Sunshine Coast. We will definitely be visiting Club Kawana again. 👍

I can't work out how to leave another review so I will just add to this one 😁. It has been approximately 7 months since our first visit to Club Kawana We always eat at the club whenever we stay at our apartment. Last night we had the Moroccan Lamb and it was absolutely fantastic, so much so that I had to go back and get a second helping. As I had already had enough from the first serving I only got the chops for the second meal. Yum yum yum. Then to top off a good feed we decided to have a go on the pokies. On the rare occasion we play pokies we normally only put one or two coins in. Last night we put three dollars in each and left with just over $160 between us. We have some friends coming to visit for the Australia Day weekend and have booked a table for the Saturday night. That $160 will go toward another great night at Club...

What a truly pleasant surprise. My wife & I went for dinner with another 2 couples. All the meals were delicious, with nothing over$18. Most meals were around $14. I had garlic prawns which were firm, juicy & cooked to perfection. My wife had salt & pepper calamari which she inhaled with gusto! The portion sizes were excellent too. One of the friends had the $14.95 seafood basket which had 2 flathead fillets, 3 prawn cutlets & squid rings. She loved it. The others had ceaser salads, chicken schnitzels, fettuccini pasta & roast beef. All came with either chips, a garden salad or roast veg. For a bowls club to provide food like that, with awesome service, & budget pricing, is truly astounding in this day & age. We'll go back again, & again, & again.
