In times of COVID directives from Queensland Health, today (Sunday 4/7/21) numerous groups were present in your Daily Dose café without facial masks as is the current Qld Health directive. I am fully aware of the exemptions and clauses which enable persons to be present without masks; however, I wish to ask the following... Where is the support from Owner(s)? Where is the support from a Manager? Your lack of support and/or directives from owners and/or management is in breach of current Qld Health policies. Why were persons not being asked about using masks? or using the Qld Government QR code for checking in? Were they (the team working here) not asked by owners and management to protect themselves and other customers? These customers, some of whom did not apply social distancing and/or masks potentially endanger the health and welfare of your team working here. These customers, some of whom did not apply social distancing and/or masks potentially disregard the welfare of your other customers dining or enjoying coffees here. Additionally, some of the team here were without masks at different times during the course of my visit today. Such a great place. The coffee is great, as well as their fresh juices. The portions are big, just ask minus sauce or on the side if ordering Eggs Bennie as it was way too much sauce for me. The staff are the nicest ever, the locals will strike up a chat and most of all I love that they are always open early so I can get a coffee when I have to get up at unreasonable hours! I feel lucky as I have just moved from Sydney across the road and have now better coffee and food then we had there! ❤️ This place can get very busy, so be patient if they might be delayed cleaning your table. This place has nice coffee and breakfasts but they seriously need to update their furniture. It’s is terrible , an accident waiting to happen with wonky tables made from window shutters to large barrels. The chairs are terrible and uncomfortable. The staff agree and have asked apparently for new chairs and tables but got new umbrellas instead 🤔. There was a lot of regulars that I now see at other coffee shops.
