Dutchy's Bakehouse — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

Unfortunately and genuinely the most poor cafe/bakery experience I’ve ever had. Personally I have no idea how it’s even still open. Coffee is poorly made. Tim Adams coffee is great, but it’s served very badly here. We got sourdough from here once, and I truly don’t believe it was authentic sourdough. Tasted like white bread made with vinegar to make it ‘sour’ My husband had a meat pie with a potato top and it was the worst pie he had ever tasted. The potato basically turned into power in your mouth. He is not a picky eater, but he couldn’t finish it. The atmosphere is shockingly dreary and unwelcoming. Went to pickup some bread yesterday (4/11/24 Monday morning) at 6am with my dog.Im a regular here and the staff are usually nice.

But yesterday, the staff member on duty refused to acknowledge me and was banging on the equipment that was not working and then slamming the stuff that were in her way. I stood there for over 5 minutes and asked if I can buy a pound of bread, then she says the system is down.

Clearly they were having a bad morning, but all she had to say was ‘sorry system is down, pls come back later’..I didn’t know what was going on except notice her slamming and banging things’.. walked away and won’t go...

We were holidaying on the Sunshine Coast and thought we'd have some Dutch Croquettes. Headed to Dutchie's Bakehouse. Disappointed to find the exorbitant prices charged for the Croquettes. $40 dollars for 20 frozen Croquettes really!
