North Shore Tavern — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

We are locals, our whole extended family are locals & we often dine at the Tavern for birthday's & get together's for family as it's local and easy for everyone. I always find it difficult to dine here being vegan & the staff generally being pretty unhelpful. There is nothing on the menu, which is fine so I usually just order a bowl of chips & salad. I've had many experiences where the staff have been clearly disgruntled by my request & one time had a staff member rudely & very strangely (after some eye rolls from her at the counter when I asked her if they could make any meal vegan) bring me gravy (which I didn't ask for) with my meal & proceed to tell me that I probably didn't want it because it contains meat?! Tonight the lovely waitress told me they would make the vege burger vegan for me then my meal came out with no bread (the bread is vegan) no chips (also vegan) just a patty lettuce tomato & some steamed veges. I spoke to the lovely waiter who sorted it for me but I could see the chef was visibly very annoyed when spoken to by the waiter, waving her arms around because I asked for bread on my burger. I don't expect for every place I go to to have something on the menu for me to eat. But I am not rude with my requests, or demanding & I just have had enough of coming into this place & feeling like I am putting them out. This is a complaint after years of coming to this place with the same attitude from staff. All I asked for was no cheese on a burger. It's really not...

me and some friends went for lunch here, they had calamari i had the roast lamb, for 15 dollars it was terrible, the whole concept wasnt a roast,the vegies are stir fry veg not proper, the potatoes were steamed,to lazy to throw them in the fryer for 2 minutes to crisp them up.I am a qualified chef. I only gave one star and thats because the waitress was an amazing young lady.you need to hire chefs who know what they are doing and not cooks who dont know the concept of a roast.no roast pumkin just shitty food, i only ate the potates because i was hungry, the meat was scabby only 2 small pieces of lamb that didnt taste roasted, I think clean ya act up ,ppl buy the specials because lack of cash for other food from the menu, at least give them decent food they will like, i asked for a grilled chicken breast they said no,they dont have it,What? only bistro that doesnt have chicken for adults,i can see how they reach their gp!! This is the second run in I've had with shannai, tonight at the tavern I was targeted by this women for some reason I'm unaware of. Tonight I had two drinks and she decided I had an altercation with someone and she cut me off tried to get me removed by security after management reviewing the CCTV cameras it was confirmed I didn't have an altercation and I was then shouted a drink by management and received an apology. I know she uses this tactic in hopes that a group of customers leave and everyone follows so she can shut the bar early. If it's not me it's someone else. She should not be in management she has no customer service skills and her face would just about break if she smiled lots of customers especially regulars avoid the northshore tavern if she is on due to her lack of hospitality skills. It's not hard to smile and pour a beer. If it happens again this is a grudge held against myself...
