Runaway Lunch Box — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I popped in to the Runaway Lunch Box a week ago when travelling throughout QLD for work. What a wonderful clean and tidy family takeaway business. Neil and Narelle mentioned they are new owners and the service they offered me was very pleasant and engaging.

I had a "Plain Jane burger" (Old School plain Hamburger) made by Neil. This was one of many options including breakfast burgers available made at time of order. It was the best burger I have had in years. I also purchased a Carrot cup cake which are home made by Narelle, which I had later that day. It was amazing. The coffee I ordered was very nice also.

If you are travelling for work or work or live in the Marcoola area, I would highly recommend popping in and taking advantage of this little hidden gem. Given a captive market you would think it would be better. They are in Runway Drive but somehow thing Runaway Lunch Box is more apt a name. Went in at 1216 pm and the food servers were empty. Same for the shop... empty. Chose two chicken tenders... horribly presented and dear as poison at $3... even the mobile fat trucks are 20% cheaper.... dont bother with this place.

Seems the fragile egos at the Runaway / Runway grub box are a bit triggered by honest reviews. The calibre of their food and service is reflected in the gravity of their patronising / attacking response below ...never once responded to the facts in my post just casually derided me with tokenistic drivel. Your grain of salt response is proportionate to your grain of salt value and service ethos... Pot...

Absolutely fantastic food, the people are so lovely and kind, and really good prices!!

I came here after a long day of travel and a stressful time of cancelled flights and things going wrong, and having such lovely customer service really brightened...
