Had such a lovely experience at Al Afrah! The desserts are absolutely amazing and beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Every bite was rich and satisfying, especially if you have a sweet tooth. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They took the time to explain the different options and even suggested a few popular choices, which really made the experience feel personal and welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers enjoying their visit. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, really perfect for catching up with friends or treating yourself to something special. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more!

- located on a busy road, street parking or at back of premises may be limited depending on day/time. - Access available via front and back of store. - A Cash only premises. No eftpos facility. - Name of sweets or prices aren’t labelled. - Sydney’s best Lebanese sweet shops. In regards to freshness & taste. 👍🏽 - Large variety to choose from but not ALL Sweets on display... if you don’t see what your after ask staff if it is available as 8/10 times I’ve been advised a 10 minute wait due to a fresh batch being made.

The quality of the lebanese sweets here has been consistently high for over 30 years. I remember going there when I was younger, and the gentleman was incredibly generous and would let everyone taste test everything as he was super confident in his products. Obviously, these days, you have to ask if you want to try as before they would basically hand it out to you. If you haven't tried this place, you must. Get the Baklava it is perfectly balanced and crunchy. Parking in the back and access from the back.

This is the only Lebanese sweet shop worth spending money at. Everyone else is posing. Please don't ever compromise on your quality because you are the last Lebanese sweet shop not selling garbage to customers. You are the last line of defence. Hold the fort.

It's a shame all the rest don't clean up their act because we've gotten so used to eating trash sweets that no one knows what their eating anymore. It's like our collective taste buds have morphed into a grotesque confused state of sugary tasteless madness. Why can't we be normal anymore!

If I move to Perth I'll drive across Australia just to buy sweets from this store. 100% worth the drive. I swear I'll do it! I will! I don't care what you think!!! Leave me alone! I won't bother going anywhere else unless it was a pure charity case or I felt like throwing money away or eating sugary, tasteless, bland pre diabetes food where clotted cream has been swapped for breaded wonderland. Afraah is one of the few that has actual clotted cream and not Tip Top Wonder White mixed with milk and sugar, I suspect some are using the local Vietnamese baker's left over hotdog rolls. I want sweet clotted cream I don't want soggy sourdough mixed with baby formula!!!! 😭 why is it so hard!!! Why!! Why!! Please tell me!! Someone say something! Why is no one answering me!!! 😭😭

I might consider buying sweets for my worst enemy from other sweet shops however even then I'd be concerned of eternal damnation since no one deserves such punishment.

Point is these guys are alright. They make good knefeh.

Where...

This place used to be a Sydney institution for top class Lebanese sweets run by a family started family business. It’s now a shell of its old self.

Although they have good quality sweets, there’s many places which are the same if not better quality for a much lower price

The prices are so high and the servers did not greet us on arrival and we didn’t know if they seen us or not.

My wife had one zound, one ward’al’cham and I had a slice of cheese Kunafa. 24 bucks, dine in. I know everything is more expensive but I feel what they’ve done is a blatant price gouge.

This shows a disconnect with the customers and community at large. They have lost touch with the people that made them.

This place is only for the rich and the well of people, it’s not for regular people.

Sorry team, you have to get back to your roots, although you have good quality sweets and always have, it’s a people that make you who you are. It’s a shame regular people can’t go...

I wanted to purchase some Lebanese sweets so I went on-line to see what was available as well as the price point . The sweets I chose were advertised as $35 per kilo. When I went into the store I purchased 3 kilos expecting to pay around $105, however the lady that served me charged me $120. The lady then said it was $40 per kilo.As there were other customers around, I didn't want to say anything so as to not create an issue for the shop. They should adhere to the prices that they have on their websites. If not, it would be prudent to remove prices from the website so as to not confuse their customers or to be portrayed as trying to rip their customers off . A very...
