Walking in West Pymble with the aroma of freshly baked bread wafting through the air is a surefire way to end up at the delightful Arthur's bakehosue. This charming bakery, nestled amongst the bustling shops, has quickly become my favorite spot for a sweet or savory treat.
The first thing that hits you upon entering is the warm and inviting atmosphere. The display cases are overflowing with a dazzling array of baked goods, each one looking like a work of art. From golden-brown loaves of sourdough to delicate pastries glistening with sugar, there's something to tempt every taste bud.
But what truly sets Arthur's bakehouse apart is the incredible quality of their ingredients. They use local, seasonal produce whenever possible, and the difference is clear in every bite. The breads have a depth of flavour and a satisfyingly chewy texture, while the pastries are light and airy, bursting with fresh fruit fillings or rich, creamy custards.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the curry pies. These flaky golden pockets are a true revelation. The buttery, flaky crust gives way to a perfectly seasoned filling of tender vegetables and a savoury curry sauce. The spice level is just right – offering a gentle warmth without overpowering the other flavours.
They also have a tempting selection of breakfast pastries, perfect for starting your day on a delicious note.
Arthur's bakehouse isn't just about the food, though. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They're always happy to answer questions about their ingredients and offer recommendations based on your preferences. They even have a small seating area where you can enjoy your treats with a cup of coffee or tea.
Whether you're looking for a quick breakfast pastry, a satisfying lunch option, or a decadent dessert, Arthur's Bakehouse has something to offer everyone. With its commitment to quality ingredients, delicious flavours, and friendly service, this bakery has quickly become a beloved local institution. So next time you find yourself in the neighbourhood, do yourself a favour and step into this slice of heaven. You won't be...

Just don't like pies with gelatine / thickner and over salted. Bland boring flavour and sad pastry! I had a beef bacon & cheese, unfortunately for trying a second time was not a great decision as it was just as disappointing as the first time. The pastry & filling is very average yes it has chunky beef and lots of jelly filling not happy Jan.think it cost $8.5 for this price 😑. i remember some time ago the pies were very good there. definitely just going stick to herbit & Adams frozen 2 pack for $5.5at aldi amazingly better. Ps my rating is on the beef, bacon and cheese pie only.🥧 not on other goods as that is all...
Read moreNice cosy cafe. I was distracted by the pretzels and croissants in the front but remembered my mission was pies.
I chose butter chicken pie and jalapeno pie. Both pies are generous with the fillings and the pastry held the filling well without breaking.
Butter chicken pie: this is nice. More on the herby spice side. Please note that the filling has some smashed pumpkin. It's good but not the typical creamy indian butter chicken as expected.
Jalapeno pie: chunky beef cooked in jalapeno. You can taste the jalapeno flavours coming through. It has a bit of a kick at the end.
Conclusion: big chunky pies with loads of...
