(4.5 stars) Zetland has Brazilian Flame Bbq, and Caringbah has Barbicrew. Both are standout Brazilian eateries perched on the edge of industrial estates. At the heart of each business are flame-grilled meats rotisserie roasted over natural charcoal on site—saturating your senses with the heady aroma of roasted meat. Both outlets support the local Brazilian community with a range of Brazilian products from farofa to specialist cuts of meat, like picanha, to purchase for at-home use. Both businesses produce and sell their own special smoked mayonnaise. Barbicrew’s smoked mayo. ($6/container) is tangier than the one I regularly revisit at Brazilian Flame. It eats beautifully over lamb, and (as I found out later) over their take-home packs of plump and juicy marinated chicken thigh ($13). It eats well on rump cap, on pork, and on potato chips… are you starting to sense a theme? The Barbicrew Pack 2 ($29) gives you your choice of two meats, three sides and a house-made sauce for dipping. For something more traditional, the Brazilian Pack ($27) lets you pick your two meats but sorts out sides for you: rice, beans, tomato salsa, farofa, chips and your favourite sauce. Both are big enough to share if you’re an average sort of eater. We grazed across the two huge boxes and still took home a tonne of meat. We marvelled at the quality of the sides, from a souped up tabouli rippled with corn, beans and fresh tomatoes, to vividly yellow Moroccan cous cous dotted with chickpeas, fresh herbs and sultanas. Hot sides, like tiny mushrooms, were perfectly sautĆ©ed. Beyond the picanha or rump cap that we both had to have, lamb dipped in fresh chimmichurri was the standout, with the pork coming up a bit dry. Nothing some smoked mayo. couldn’t fix, but that goes without saying.

Super Fantastic!!! šŸ‘Œ I was driving past with my young family on the way to Cronulla Beach today and spotted this place. What a find! I wasn't expecting this but stopped the car and went in (I was eating my yogurt in the car). The food looked so fresh and delicious that I called my wife in the car and said let's get some and turn it into a pinic at the beach! She agreed. I had trouble deciding which meat to get, and the chef abruptly held out some tongs with a piece of lamb saying "the lamb is good"... I ate it gratefully and it was perfect and I was left drooling, so good šŸ‘. He then gave me a piece of beef and his smile said it all... he said "try the beef" with a thick Portuguese accent. šŸ˜‹ It was at that point I realised that everything was good and I wanted to try it all. I bought our take away and we ate it ate the beach, terrific! But the thing that got me besides the deliciousness of the food and great price was the kindness of the chef. His nature was like mine, kind hearted and a delight in sharing. I am glad that man exists on the planet, small kindness but incredibly memorable. The food really is crazy delicious and I would expect people would travel far to eat that well. Touto Bon! Everything's good šŸ‘ In my photo, he is the Brazilian gentleman on the right.

2024 edit: Pains me to write this but i previously gave a 5 star. Been coming here regularly for a year now on a weekly basis. ordering the same for a while but today I received meat that was not only subpar, it was inedible. I’ll save the photo as to not offend your stomache but I’m honestly really disappointed. I don’t know if they cut costs and raised prices but I’ve noticed a steady decline. Hope they can fix it as it was something I looked forward to eating weekly. For now I’ll have to find another. Previous post: Been coming here for a while and the food is outstanding. The picanha is cooked beautifully and the service is always with a smile.

I’ve been to many Brazilian restaurants in Sydney and frequently go to Brazilian flame, which is a similar style to this one. I Went there over the weekend and was greeted by the most depressing service ever! The girl at the counter didn’t bother to explain the menu and as I’m trying to order she just keeps asking what sides or meats I want, as I’m looking for where the sides are she just stares blankly instead of trying to explain to me what the options are. The price is also quite high compared to the other restaurants which charge $27 for the same thing.

I ordered my food with a drink, got my ticket and waited to get my food. When it was my turn the guy didn’t give me a drink so I wasn’t sure where to get it so I asked the lady at the counter and she just points to the fridge in the corner and says that’s where it is with a annoyed look. Thankfully the meats were excellent but the sides of rice and beans was a bit disappointing. The mayo was also amazing! The beans were runny and the rice tasted and looked old. It’s also a shame that they don’t have any indoor tables because it was above 30 degrees that day and only a few tables have shade (the tables and chairs are metal and the outside area has a transparent roof) which makes dining there on a hot day very unpleasant.

As a Brazilian I honestly hope all the best for the restaurant but they have to work on their customer service as their staff don’t seem to understand that it might be someone’s first time eating there and making it a bad experience is only damaging their reputation from showing how good...

Barbicrew in Caringbah isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a culinary experience that brings the heart of Brazil to your table. Their flame rotisserie meats, rotisserie roasted over natural charcoal, offer an aroma and taste that transport you straight to heaven. The local Brazilian community finds a taste of home here, especially with their special smoked mayonnaise that’s nothing short of addictive. The Brazilian Barbicrew Pack is a crowd-pleaser, featuring a delectable selection of meats, sides, and house-made sauce, their special smoked mayonnaise is a must-try. For a traditional touch, the Brazilian Pack is your go-to, complete with all the classic accompaniments. The Brazilian Pack is perfect for those looking for a traditional experience, complete with rice, beans, tomato salsa, farofa, chips, and your favorite sauce. But what truly sets Barbicrew apart is their exceptional catering service. I had the pleasure of having them cater for my birthday, and it was an unforgettable experience. The team went above and beyond, ensuring every guest was immersed in the flavors and joy of Brazilian cuisine. The lamb, dipped in fresh chimichurri, was the star of the show, and even the slightly dry pork was revived with a dollop of their signature smoked mayo. Barbicrew’s dedication to quality and authenticity makes them the perfect choice for any event, leaving a lasting impression that’s...
