I've seen the sun rise and set over oceans and valleys, I've seen meteor showers, The Milky way, satellites and the ISS glide across the sky. I've seen fields turn to forest and trickles turn to rapids, I've witnessed many different animals births and walked through gardens where wild critters and birds play and sing unbothered by anything, I've seen Fathers come home and meet their baby for the first time, I've seen children in the desert experience rain, puddles and a rainbow for the first time, I've seen a cat sniff catnip for the first time... I've seen the most beautiful things eyes can taste.

I came across Hatz Off BBQ on Instagram and, being a sucker for good smoked food, decided to make the trip all the way from Oran Park to check it out. The setup has a unique charm, being a family-run business operating out of a car wash, which adds to the experience.
I ordered the brisket toastie, which was advertised on social media as $19 but was priced at $22 in-storeāsomething that felt a bit misleading. While the portion was decent, the cheese blend was a bit heavy, possibly to justify the price, but it overpowered the balance of flavors. The brisket itself could have used a little more salt to enhance its taste.
I also tried 100g of their brisket, and while it had a nice texture, it wasnāt the juiciest or most flavorful, again lacking seasoning. The BBQ sauce served with it didnāt quite hit the mark for me.
Overall, it was a decent experience. The concept is great, and I appreciate the effort they put into their food. With a few tweaksāmainly adjusting seasoning and portion balanceāit could be even better. Hoping this feedback helps, and wishing them...

Staff are amazing, friendly and accomodating, service was great as a result. Food portions are generous, though, I destroyed the lots, no issue for me. Iāve gone with a 4/5, taking a point off as I felt the beef was a bit too oily for my liking. Yes it was juicy and literally melted in my mouth, though, quite a bit of oil dripping off and in my plate/box. Generally speaking I avoid and dislike oily foods so I may be over critical. Other, comparable bbq place in my top 2 werenāt as oily. Left me with that fatty oily feeling/aftertaste. Hatz Off is in my top 3, sitting at #3. First time Iāve been and Iāll be back with company. That said, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor and overall a great experience. See you again soon.
Edit: in line with Hatz off recommendations, we went back and requested the āleanā cut. I can confirm this was much leaner, and fortunately just as melt in your mouth and juicy as before....
