A friendly cafe that is obviously a local favourite: the lively waitresses greet most patrons by name and seem to be a genuine part of their lives. The food itself isn't spectacular - the menu relies heavily on time-tested classics (e.g. beef burger, chicken parmigiana, basic pastas of the day, nicoise salad), executed with homeliness rather than innovation in mind. Popular and prominent corner cafe located in East Point centre in Edgecliff opposite the entrance to Coles. The corn fritters I ordered for Sunday morning breakfast was a light dish, and wouldn't be suitable for anyone looking for decent sized serve. The fritters were quite tasty, and were basically two pan fried corn patties topped with mashed avocado and a poached egg. There was also a side serve of beetroot relish. I ordered an iced chocolate, but the worker mistakenly made a hot chocolate instead. When I pointed this out, they gave me the iced chocolate, but as I started drinking it, I noticed a hair in my drink. It was definitely not mine—I'm brunette, and this hair was short and black.
