Caffe Pancetta — Restaurant in Sydney

I just wanted to contact you guys about our experience last night. I had previously visited your restaurant twice before (&the food has been delicious)and I can say after last night we won’t be returning. It began with the beers being very warm and we brought that to the waitress’ attention and she didn’t seem to care about it. The cocktails, for the price, were were really underwhelming and that was after waiting 20mins for them. My mother in law couldn’t drink the caipiroska and left that on the table. My Apple Martina was good but the glass was half empty. We ended up leaving early as the food was average and we decided we’d take the cake we brought in, back home to enjoy. The cake felt as though it hadn’t been refrigerated the whole time we were there, unless it was in the same fridge as the beers.

Anyway today my husband (on his birthday) is so unwell after eating a prawn pizza and my in-laws are sick too. For the price we paid we won’t be returning as it was disappointing service and terrible food.

We had such high hopes as per our previous visits , so we were going to book again for another event later in the year. Sadly that won’t be happening and I won’t be recommending your restaurant to any of my...

This is not our normal post. We love to support small restaurants and always post positive reviews. The restaurants that aren't up to standard don't get posted. But this one will ... "Cafe Pancetta" in Engadine have a sign up boasting they have the best pizza in Engadine. We saw one of them come out and just looking at it there is no way they have the best pizza in Engadine. The best pizza in Engadine would go to Almos. But this is not about their pizza. We ordered the Scampi which came in over $60 and when it was served we were served 4 of the smallest scampi we've ever seen. Definitely not a main meal like they advertised and when we questioned the price and size of the meal, we were told basically that's the price deal with it..... that's the first and last time we go to...

Food was very good. Service was very poor. Waitress, while not rude, was unfriendly and did not seem to want to be there. We ordered the set menu which is not on the menu in the restaurant but is on their website. More than enough food for six, however, we were told there was no desert included, despite it being on the website. The waitress reluctantly followed this up for us and we were supplied with a small plate which was enough for two people but not six. Good food was ruined by the rest of...
