Delicious. Crumbly. Great value and did I mention delicious. Stopped off for a late lunch so hunger may have effected my review. I had a beef and mushroom pie $5:20, which had thick gravy and slices of mushroom. The pastry on top was crusty and golden brown, a real crunch. The bottom was thin but strong enough to support the filling. I am always wary because sometimes places can replace taste with salt. But not here. A really great pie. For desert I had a vanilla slice($3:50), but more in the style of a Mille-feuille than a trad aussie snot block. But the custard was firm and not overly sweet. Read moreI visited this bakery and ordered a cream bun I asked if it was fresh and the owner smiled politely and assured me it was made that day I happily took it and realised when I picked it up that is was actually quite hard not just a little bit but several days old kind of hard. which she would have definitely known. I sat it back on the counter and said I'm sorry but I don't think this is still good. She very rudely snatched it off the counter and my husband's order also and threw it on the floor.
