Kathi and her team took me back home that much I had tears streaming down my face while eating the fry bread. It was identical to my mums and I haven’t had anything even close to my mum who raised me. Thank you for my journey back to my childhood even down to the hard real butter and golden syrup Amazing I am going home in a food coma now as I ate too much lol battered oysters were on point, paua puffs were delicious and taking the Kina home cos I can’t fit it. Thank you again much aroha to you 🌷🙏

Sorry whanau I have always had awesome Kai in the past from here but my experience on Sunday was tragic 😭 I ordered a bacon and egg pie and the nz snapper and salad only, it took 1 hour and 30 min to get my meal and the batter was soft, no crunch, it tasted like it was swimming in oil and cold..( I think something was wrong with the deep frier in their defense) but how sad I was😭...I will visit again and hopefully it will be better😮oh bacon and egg pie was yum👍🏼only up side to my visit.

Best kiwi joint in Sydney. Paua puffs were off the charts. Meanest fish n chips, gets smashed by the locals, absolutely no ethnic discrimination, everybody loves their food. Specialists in Maori cuisine, you name it they got it. Weekend hangi and smoked fish pickups, Cando kina, fresh mussels, creamed paua, seafood chowder and fried bread better than your aunties. Go get some.... Kia Ora 👊🏾 update... nothing's changed.

Was told by a family friend about Cathy's Kai. Soo hungry for a steak and cheese pie. My brother and I soon as we got close to the store straight away smelt of home. Boil Up Porkbones. We were greeted with smiles KIA ORA welcome. The owner came out gave us plastic bags to help ourselves out with veggies they had in a trailer in the front. So we did, cabbage, onions, Brussels sprouts and potatoes. The food was absolutely delicious. I didn't want to wait to hove into my steak and cheese pie. Took a seat and that was me 🤩. The doughnuts wow soo fresh and FRESH CREAM. None of these fake malt cream. Will definitely go back. Well Done. Kia Orana. To my Cook Island Family please go to Cathy Kai....

Cathy is absolutely a lovely lady. She did the Catering for my partner’s cousins Tangi… 💕 The service she provided was so caring and thoughtful… everyone got to take home trays as well. 😊 She always is so thoughtful and checks in on our family when we go in to buy food and ask how we are getting along… All the staff at Cathy’s Kai are welcoming and friendly too… The food is on point all the time… Full of flavour.. taste so good. Problem is.. you go there just for a pie, then nek min your walking out with half the shop! Hahahaha… There’s heaps to choose from.. 🤤 honestly…. You won’t be disappointed. Much Love 💕 and...

I will always tautoko Maori bizzo and never talk shit because I know the struggle for small business but if you are charging a premium price you expect a premium product and unfortunately today wasn’t that day BnE pie was more of an egg pie with next to no bacon if you can call ham bacon the weetbix slice crumbled into a mess on contact sadly, I will be back again but complacency can be the downfall of a lot of small business please return to the high standard that made me travel from Camden to Merrylands to feed myself into a kai coma with the delicious kai that made your Pakihi Maori the best in...
