I have never given a business a google review this low. But I think after giving this restaurant the 3rd chance and they completely disappointed me, I got no choice but to be honest. The young lady at the front is rude, arrogant and has no sense of customer service. 2nd time order, we tried combination crispy noodle, to my shock, the crispy noodle comes in a very small paper bag, all crushed to crumbs. 3rd time order, I vowed I wont go near the crispy noodle, so I ordered combination chow mien, expecting stirfried noodle, just what you would normally expect and see in chinese food court meal. When I picked my order up, again, what was packed was the crushed crispy noodle in small paper bag ( 10cm5cm kind of) with a container of the combination meat and sauce. When questioned, the young lady rudely said that's the way they do chow mien..for goodness sake, this is chinese restaurant, yet they mistranslate the word "chow mien"?? Our other food - sweet sour combination, Combination seafood, the vegies you can see is only carrot and onions. We won't go back again. I think 3 chances are fair to say they haven't made any changes despite all these 1 review people have posted here. Very sad! Would love to see small business thrives, but they need to...
Read moreWent to Crystal Jade for dinner tonight. We had originally gone to the Chinese place in Erskine Park but they were ridiculously out of control busy there so we left and went to Crystal Jade instead. It was quiet, nicely appointed and the service was very friendly and fast.
There were six of us. We had the short soup, mixed entree and ham and chicken roll (which was excellent). We had chicken chow mein, rainbow steak (which was excellent), Mongolian lamb, satay chicken and honey chicken. The food was pretty much stock standard suburban Chinese food. Some dishes better than others but generally good. All up it cost $25 a head which I thought was very fair
Also discovered they have a liquor license (but you can BYO wine). Worth...
Read moreOrdered two chicken chow miens one with soft noodles one with crispy, the one with soft noodles came with fillet chicken the crispy came with shredded chicken which tasted liked yesterday’s reheated chicken (inedible) wrang and spoke to the manager who said if you want fillet chicken you have to order braised chicken chow mien I asked twice how old the shredded chicken was but the only answer I could get was it’s just normal chicken, sounds like they use their leftovers in this dish or cook the chicken way before they get an order for it and then just reheat it, way better off ordering the braised chicken for $1.00 extra it’s actually nice don’t know why they would tarnish there name by selling another...
