This joint has really gone downhill over the past few years. Some staff lack customer service skills. If you complain the staff give you attitude. The sausage rolls are often too hard at the ends of the roll. Compared to other good bakeries the donuts, pies & food in general is average. They charge $5 for coffee made by teenagers. The owners need to employ 19, 20, 21 year olds to work after 3pm to provide the young staff some much needed leadership. If teens work with other teens or with their friends then ofc there is no leadership and issues arise! I note the owners don't reply to any negative reviews. The only reason this bakery has done ok is because there is not much bakery competition in Carlingford & Baulkham Hills. I bought two sausage rolls yesterday on the way to visit an elderly friend. When I got there and took them out of the white paper bag, They were extremely dry. The pastry on one was thick and very hard, the filling was dry as well. The second once was burnt on both ends and again hard. They could not be bitten let alone eaten. They were totally inedible and both sausage rolls seemed like they had been reheated a few times from previous days. There was no way that they were fresh. Maybe I got the dregs with it being Friday. it was only 12.30pm when I bought them as well. Such to say the surprise treat I had planned for my friend was not to be. The old lady who served me hates you when you use your free coffee coupon(for your 10th coffee from the cafe). I greeted her and asked her if I could use my free coffee coupon then she doesn't even greet you back and said "WHAT DO YOU WANT" and when the coffee was ready, she did not even tell me it was but just left it on the counter without saying anything. The worst part was, I ordered mocha and she gave me something else(I think latte). I think this cafe should remove free coffee coupon when you just hate serving people using their free coffee coupon.
