Response to the edited reply by the owner: I challenge you to put the video footage here. I got up from my table after waiting for long to ask your staff about the menu and water. Use your cctv to zoom in and see how many times i raised my hand or turned around trying to get your attention. Secondly, if i wanted to defame your business i could have done it anonymously without dates or menu items ordered. I genuinely like(D) this place and recommended it to so many people previously including the person whose additional table review you have a problem with. I didn't even need to praise your food if my intention was defamation. You did not provide good service and that's reviewed here for the public to see. Warm water was never served -check your cctv. That's the complaint. Not regular water, warm/hot water. Intention was to provide feedback but maybe i should have realised that you don't want it as it was not even sought at the time of payment. Wrt legal case threats, please note that consumers have rights as well.

Went here on the evening of 20th October. Am a big fan of the restaurant coming to this location the 3rd time and having visited the Harris park outlet umpteen times. This would have been a 4 star rating as i really liked the food- ordered ghee rava and pesarattu. They're named after it so definitely did a great job on the dosas. But customer service was non existent. Either we were invisible or we were last priority. Had to get up after 20 minutes and go ask one of the staff to serve us and get water. Requested warm water thrice to 2 different ppl but never got it. They have tea shown on the menu but not provided. First restaurant in my life that doesn't offer tea or coffee...i mean it's your choice but mind boggling. Wrt water im assuming you don't have a kettle, but you could have at least warmef some water and got it. Will still come to dosa Hut but...

Visited 21/09/25 Sunday night

I went to Dosa Hut Dural for dinner with my wife and two friends. We ordered 3 entrées and 4 main courses. The entrées came out, followed by only one main course. After some time, a staff member asked if we were still waiting for food. I told her that 3 dishes were still missing 2 dosas and 1 biryani.

The dosas arrived, but the biryani (which I had ordered for myself) never came. I ended up sitting for more than 30 minutes watching everyone else finish their meal. Eventually, I went to pay the bill, and they had included the biryani. When I pointed out that I never received it, the staff member apologized and said they could pack it as a takeaway. I declined, since I had been waiting all that time to eat in the restaurant. They reprinted the bill without the biryani but I noticed they are serving biryani’s to a table that arrived after us.

What frustrated me most was the attitude. The excuse was simply, “We are busy.” But as a restaurant, if you can’t handle the number of customers, don’t overcommit. We arrived at 7 pm as the 4th table; the place was mostly empty then. By the time I paid the bill at 8:45 pm, it was busy as they claimed, but that’s no excuse for such poor service.

It felt like the only way to eat here is to order, wait nearly 2 hours, and hope your food comes — otherwise you go home hungry or with a takeaway you never wanted. Sitting in a restaurant is for dining in, not waiting endlessly and being offered takeout as a solution.

Simply unprofessional service. If a restaurant has a set number of tables, they should be able to manage that capacity without compromising food and service quality. Unfortunately, Dosa Hut Dural failed badly in both areas.

Not recommended. If you do visit, make sure the restaurant is not busy otherwise, be prepared for...

Dosa Hut Dural is hands down one of the best South Indian restaurants in Sydney for anyone craving bold, authentic flavours with a modern touch. We had a phenomenal experience here, from the food to the service and ambiance.

We started with the Chicken Tikka—juicy, perfectly marinated, and cooked to perfection with that slight charred edge that adds so much depth. The Papri Chaat was a refreshing and well-balanced appetizer, delivering the perfect mix of crispy, tangy, and sweet elements with each bite.

The Sambar Idli and Vada was comforting and full of flavour—the sambar was rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced, and the idli was soft and fluffy while the vada had just the right crunch.

The real standouts were the curries. The Andhra Chicken Curry was a fiery, full-bodied dish with a beautiful heat that didn’t overpower the complexity of the spices. The Spiced Coconut Prawns Curry was a creamy delight with just the right hint of sweetness from the coconut, making it incredibly moreish.

We paired these with Butter Naan and Garlic Naan, both fresh, soft, and generously topped. And of course, we couldn’t miss trying their iconic 70mm Chef’s Special Dosa with all the stuffings—a showstopper in both size and flavour. Crispy on the outside and loaded with a variety of fillings inside, it’s an absolute must-try for dosa lovers.

To wrap it all up, we enjoyed a cup of Masala Chaye—beautifully brewed with warming spices, offering a satisfying end to our meal.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and the restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and inviting. Whether you’re dining in or taking away, Dosa Hut Dural delivers an authentic South Indian experience that will keep you coming back. Highly...

Loved the morning Buffet. Everything was very tasty - specially their Sambar and Chole Bhathure. Food is decently spicy and fairly priced. Amenities are clean. They have ample car parking. Start at 10am and service is quick so you don’t have to wait much if they run out of one item. Would definitely recommend to try out. I’ll go with family and friends again.

Today was my second visit to Dosahut. Decent southern Indian food that can be ordered through a QR code or through the staff. Key highlights for me: - Quick order to table for any dosa ordered. Nice chutney with a nutty flavour accompanying the dosa. - Rich flavours for the palak paneer & fish curry - 5% discount when paying by cash - Well spaced seatings - Good lighting to be able to see the food Some things that would be great for Dosahut to consider: - Being more attentive to remove empty plates to clear more space for food ordered + refills of table water - Checking in with guests when first seated if it is their first visit or may need help with the menu. Similarly, checking in the guest experience. - There were discrepancies between the QR code ordering site vs the printed menu. They should be synched to avoid confusion. - To revert with a response when committed to checking in with the other staff or kitchen before proceeding to place an order on behalf of us. Overall, a decent southern Indian restaurant and still a pleasant dinner experience
