So on Wednesday 14th August i went through drive through at the Preston’s store. I ordered a whole chicken meal and a tawouk platter. In anticipation that i would wait for my skewers to be made I drove up to the window to pay. As soon as I paid the food was handed over and I thought surely not a chance they could’ve made them that quickly. And I was right. I got home which is a 5 minute drive from the store. The chicken itself was fine. However the skewers were inedible, cold, dry, and here what you see on the photo is how much meat you get from 2 skewers apparently. They were extremely bland, tasteless and like rubber it was evident they’d been sitting somewhere for at least a few hours. Needless to say I chucked them in the bin and ate chicken with my family. I am extremely disappointed as they were amazing and I use to love the skewers. I don’t know what’s happened to el jannah. But this growth has just seen a massive dive in food quality. Even the pre packaged garlic sauce doesn’t taste like it use to, it’s a lot more commercialised and tastes almost plastic. I am very let down by the skewers and I feel like I wasted my money and had to throw them in the bin, they were not cheap. Do better el jannah because it can’t be any worse.

I’ve been a loyal El Jannah customer since the original Granville Awafi days, but tonight’s experience was honestly the worst I’ve had—and it’s made me question whether I’ll ever order again. We placed an $80 order expecting the usual quality, but what we received was beyond disappointing. The Tawouk plate, which should come with 2 skewers of grilled chicken, instead arrived with what looked like a few shreds of dry chicken—barely enough to count as one skewer. When I opened the box (photo attached), I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. On top of that, we were missing an item—incomplete and subpar food. The quality has clearly nosedived since El Jannah began franchising. Campbelltown, Gregory Hills, and now Prestons—none of them come close to what made El Jannah special. It honestly feels like the people preparing the food just don’t care anymore. We genuinely would’ve had a better experience ordering KFC tonight—and saved money too. For $80, we expected real charcoal chicken, not this mess. Those who know, know exactly what I’m talking about. The old El Jannah is long gone—and that’s the real shame. Step it up, El Jannah. You’re losing loyal customers.

Dined at El Jannah Prestons tonight and it did not disappoint. The aroma of charcoal chicken greeted us from the carpark as we walked in. The place was packed but we got lucky and secured a table for our party of 3. We ordered a whole chicken meal and it came with a whole chicken, 2 drinks, chips, lebanese bread, garlic sauce and a choice of pickles, tabouli or coleslaw. We opted for the pickles and it was delish! We added 6 tenders and it came with a creamy gravy sauce. The charcoal chicken was juicy as was the tenders, the chips had that yellow coating from the generous chicken salt and the garlic sauce is just as I remembered, divine. We spent $52 tonight with upgraded drinks and we are leaving fully satisfied, a tad heavier than when we entered. I'm so glad we now have a store locally. Takeaway and drive through available.

My first experience was great. Polite helpful staff and the food was great. We loved it so much we went back again tonight through the drive through. This experience was not so good. I ordered the Mixed chicken meal and was told at the speaker they were out of the mixed pieces, but could make it up with wings and tenders. I was ok with this. After sitting at the collection window for a minute or two waiting to collect my order, I could overhear a manager telling the kid working the window that they can’t substitute the mixed pieces and to give me a refund. At this stage, another manager popped her head around from the front asking what the hold up was and told off the 2 teens working the drive through in front of me. The poor kid apologised to me and started to help me work out what I could get instead of my original order, at which point I told him it wasn’t his fault and that the manager should have told him to tell me earlier they couldn’t substitute the mixed pieces. I also told the manager this. Then the other manager popped her head around to tell the teens off for the hold up again. I ended up ordering and getting my food, which tasted great again. Long story short, it was a little frustrating that they didn’t have options available to replace the mixed pieces or clear communication to give the customer. It was also very disappointing that the 2 managers put it all on the 2 teens and dressed them down in front of customers. I felt sorry for the poor kids who were trying their best in a stressful situation. They need to learn to look after their young employees and to mentor them, rather than embarrass them like that. Considering they are a new store, most people expect a few hiccups and I wouldn’t have given this review except for the way they spoke...

On Thursday night, I visited the Elijnnah and ordered for a serving of 'Wicked Wings'. After a considerable wait, I received a box which, upon inspection, contained only drumsticks. Given a prior experience where a similar mistake occurred, prompting me to check the food within the box, I approached the staff to fix my order. Upon explaining the situation to the attending personnel, I was directed to what appeared to be the owner or manager. However, to my surprise, I was informed that they did not serve 'Wicked Wings' at this restaurant, despite having previously received them from the same place. Despite my efforts to politely negotiate for the desired food, I was informed of a shortage, necessitating a wait of initially 2 minutes due to a limited stock of 5 pieces. After while, another staff member informed me of the unavailability of 'Wicked Wings'. However, after explaining, an offer was made to prepare the desired dish which was “wicked Wings” with a wait time of 10 minutes. Following a series of conflicting statements, it became apparent that they were unwilling to fulfill my request. Consequently, despite my willingness to resolve the issue, i changed my mind about getting 'Wicked Wings' and declined both the dish and any potential refund before departing the place.

To the owner: Focus on customer satisfaction, not just...
