Fratelli's — Restaurant in Sydney

To dear owner. Food was more than great, but you might want to reconsider who you want to have as a server. We dined in on a Thursday night, 3rd of July. We asked if its ok if we only have an hour because we had a movie that we are supposed to go to. The asian looking girl served us, and welcomed us in. She took our order, we ordered one pizza, one pasta, and a ginger beer and there is two of us. The pasta was brought quickly, and as we shared between two of us, we waited for the pizza but it took time. We asked the server how the pizza order is going. She said it's coming, and checked the system. Then about 15 mins later we still didn't receive the pizza so I asked again. And then she said "Did you order with me or another staff?" I said yes I did and she followed "When I took your order I repeated what you ordered. You didn't mention anything so the order wasn't in until the next time you mentioned." SHE GASLIGHTED AND BLAMED IT ON US FOR HER ERROR!, She didn't take the order properly and it made the dinner experience so bad after her horrible attitude. The customer that sat next to us even picked it up and told us that she messed with their order too with their salad. Mistakes are ok, but why would you blame a customer for the her mistake, and why would you think a couple will only order a plate of pasta only? The night was saved with the lovely couple that sat next to us and the authentic home made food which was delicious and hardworking kitchen staff was doing a beautiful job. It is sad that one server did disappoints the overall experience and I guess it's a family owned business? Please do tell and educate your staff that mistakes are ok but don't put blame on customers, and own your action and just say sorry if things happen. One action can make a big difference. My partner and I are feeling so unsettled because of your staff had gaslighted us...

I’ve Walked past many times to go to other restaurants in the plaza Tonight I really wish we had kept walking What a disappointment Firstly my partner requested a green tea that was on the menu - sorry said the waitress we aren’t a café Next we ordered a garlic pizza to start but it turned up with our mains pasta - defeated the whole purpose of an entrée The pastas were vile I ordered the gamberi it had so much chilli it was inedible - I ate the prawns and left the rest , my partner had a seafood pasta which was tasteless and mussels not fresh as they hadn’t opened . The garlic cheese bread was passable The waitress asked how our meal was I told her I couldn’t eat the heavily chilli tasting pasta and she totally ignored me .- she really didn't care if i had enjoyed or even noticed I hadn't eaten it So as not to be rude we requested 2 takeaway containers but then threw the food in the bin next to the restaurant So disappointed with our Fratellis experience We have both been left with a terrible...

The food is well done and delicious, we got 2 pizzas and a pasta, accompanied by a byo wine which made for a nice Thursday evening outing.

The service could be improved:

Unable to make a booking only walk-ins permitted which contributes to the waiting frustration

They forgot about me and my friends on their written list and I had to go up and remind them to secure a table

As there were only two staff attending to customers we had to wait and grab their attention for wine glasses and again to place our dinner request

Good reviews I can see on Google review, it’s just that they have done so well as a local pizzeria they have let service down and don't really care based on the attitude I received from one of the waitresses when paying the bill about corkage even when asking time and time again for my 3 not 2 wine glasses.

After peak times I’m sure they would be better and considering the price you are paying you the service should be matched with enough staff...
