I have visited every single Sushi Train restaurants in NSW, and this is the best of them all. As far as I know, it is the only location that consistently serves great quality, reasonably priced otoro -- two pieces nigiri for $8 (used to be $8 a piece, if I remember correctly). In comparison, from time to time, Edomae Sushi (Burwood & Regent Place) and Kyo Sushi (Wentworth Point) both offer otoro at a higher price ($10 a piece), and the quality is no different to their chutoro and less fatty than desired. My greater point is that the quality of other dishes is as good as its otoro. Portion sizes (such as salmon belly) are generally larger than other locations, and I believe there is a special aburi curry salmon nigiri that is not available elsewhere. In terms of service, even when a plate of sushi is on the conveyor belt, if you place an order for say, aburi nigiri, the chef will make it fresh, which other locations might not follow (such as Sushi Train Dee Why). As soon as you sit down, the waiter will ask what you would like to drink, elsewhere it may be that you need to ask for yourself (such as Sushi Train Bondi Beach).

Venue closes at 9pm Staff is cleaning and putting soap water on the station at 7.40pm Whilst there is customers around eating So doing stupid things like that infront of a customer, in result i got sprayed with soap water all over food and sparkling water which i paid for Asked for a new cup for my old contaminated cup (full of sparkling water) Staff brings us a new cup and nothing else Reason for the 1 star review -very low food safety dealing with soapy water next to food being served -just a sorry from staff and no recourse of action -manager that saw the whole saga unfold but didnt bother to do anything other than cleaning -staff splashing water on each other like they are at a water park I can undetatand if it was 15-20 mins before closeing time But not 1hr 20 mins befor closing time Been coming to this venue for number of years Today was the last

It was very busy by the time we arrived at 6:50pm. We ended up waiting 45 minutes to be able to sit down to eat. What else can you do? Nothing. The restaurant has become increasingly popular over the years and that’s because the food and environment is exceptional. Staff seemed a bit stressed out at the time because it was so busy. But you know what? That is completely okay. Totally worth the wait! I could see the staff working hard non stop to accomodate everyone and keep fresh sushi on the train. I really applaud their efforts. Everything was so fresh and flavourful. The atmosphere is beautiful with jazz music playing in the back. We just came for the food and experience and they delivered! We ended up eating 18 plates between two of us! So if you have the patience to eat here at dinner time, it is totally worth it! Definitely will come back!!

My partner and I tried this sushi train for the first time last night and it is safe to say that it was one of the worst experiences we have had with sushi train this far. We had been looking forward to having a delightful sushi train experience but unfortunately it turned out to be a complete let down due to several glaring issues. First and foremost we had to wait 25 mins for a table only to sit down and have no variety on the train in peak hour? We had to order everything and the quality of the food served was far below what one would expect from a reputable sushi train restaurant. The majority of the dishes were served cold and some of the food wasn’t even properly cooked so we had to give it back. This leads me to question the freshness and safety of the ingredients used. Furthermore, the service we received from a few of the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional, they seemed disinterested, annoyed and inconvenienced by me asking for something as simple as sauce because it was not on the train. This was extremely disheartening as we usually very much enjoy coming to sushi train. As a customer, I hope that my feedback can be taken into consideration to create a more welcoming and customer orientated environment...

Hmmm. Fourth times I have visited. Second time disappointing. I dont think I will go there ever again.

Salmon was fresh, squid was fresh but the rest of the food was just not good enough.

In the moving tray, almost nothing to eat. All the non sashimi inclusive sushies which no one touches. Same dishes were revolving around and around non stop.

If no one picks it up, you should remove them and fill up with new kinds to attract customers and give them more choices rather than hoping to be picked up and get rid of those old cooked dishes.

There was almost no space in between dishes in the moving belt but filled with all the not attractive no name fishes and all the creative dishes which I dont want to risk it.

Not much varieties in terms of dishes for the size of the restaurant. We had to order separately to get those dishes which are not in the moving belt.

Staffs' English were not proficient to understand my simple order and what happened to the miso soup? Disastrous. What are all those fusion seaweed in the soup? I dont like them.

It is not cheap restaurant but the service was not good enough.

I just miss old traditional, clean, non strategic proper Japanese sushi train.

Good...

Dishonest business, rude customer service - stay away.

I picked a salmon miso soup from the train on a silver plate ($3.50) which they had to make for me, but it came out on an orange plate ($4.50). When I asked why the colour of the plate (and therefore the price) had changed, they said "don't worry about the colour of the plate, here it is on the menu - $4.50".

Given their whole pricing model is based on the colour of plates, charging me more because they got the plate colour wrong is unacceptable. I wasn't ordering from the menu, I was picking items up from the "train".

They didn't make it right at the counter, either, and ended up charging me for the orange plate. The man at the counter then said "sorry for your confusion". It wasn't my confusion that was the problem, it was their dishonesty, poor customer service and lack of respect for customers.

As for the food, it was OK but definitely overpriced. Ironically, the salmon miso soup was by far the worst dish I had.

I will not be going back. If you're thinking of going here, I strongly suggest you pick from any of the other excellent Japanese restaurants in the area (such as Restaurant Toshiya) instead of this shady...
