Disappointing when expected better. My partner and I had these items:
Steamed dim sims Steamed vegetable rolls Spinach Chia dumplings Chia Prawn dumplings Curry Triangles Peanut satay skewers Lion Kings claypot Passionfruit cheesecake Gaytime slice 11.Choc sponge cake with caramel mock cream and popcorn
The savoury dishes were okay. Perhaps a little on the bland size. My favourite was the curry triangles, but they were tiny.
Unfortunately the Choc cake seemed stale, and tasted bitter. Thankfully the mock cream gave the cake some moisture. The gaytime slice also tasted like it was off and had a very bitter after taste. This is concerning because I do not want to get food poisoning.
The total cost was $120.00. The portion sizes were very small. Particularly the passionfruit cheesecake was tiny square for the $. It did taste very tangy, but nice. The choc sponge cake was average.
Sadly, I enjoyed my Starbucks vegan chocolate cake for $6.50 better than any of these sweets. As a vegan, I wish to support plant-based businesses. But I was very disappointed. I want to let others know about my experience, and hope this business will sharpen their quality control and taste their food before selling it to the public. I will not be...

We visited to celebrate a birthday dinner with friends, but left feeling deeply undervalued as customers.
Key Issues: 🍽️ Unequal Treatment: While waiting for our (modest-portioned) meals, we observed the owner’s family being served multiple lavish off-menu vegan dishes in heaping portions—a stark contrast to our paid orders.
🎂 Absurd Cake Fee: Bringing a birthday cake (a universal celebration tradition) incurred a surprise $2 - $2.50 /person "cake fee." The manager’s justification—"to discourage outside desserts"—rings hollow when no birthday cake option even exists on the menu.
💸 Price Priorities: From the $26 sparkling water (which we declined) to the cake charge, every interaction felt transactional, as if revenue extraction trumped guest experience.
Why This Matters: A restaurant’s charm lies in making all guests feel special—not just the owner’s inner circle. Charging fees for basic celebrations while serving VIPs extravagant off-menu meals is tone-deaf at best.
We won’t return, and caution others to manage...
Read moreIt's not all deep fried vegan - a pleasant change. A delicious hot pot of Japanese Green Tea ($3) accompanied my meal. The Wonton soup ($12.90) was delightfully simple and fresh; the noodles and wontons an amazingly good texture, broth uncomplicated and not too salty, veges were the right amount of cook/crunch. Overall bowl size was huge. The BBQ pork buns, recommended by another reviewer, were worth it ($5/2pc). The only change I'd make is just a teeny bit of 5spice and/or star anise. The texture both dough and filling is spot on for the meat version - I don't eat pork much anymore (I am flexitarian moving towards full vego) but I remember it well. As this restaurant doesn't cook with onions or garlic, the dishes natural flavours and nuances are more noticeable. They have them down pat and for any vego/vegans out there, you will leave happy. PS the dessert cakes looked amazing - I was just too full after the entree and mains to try any. Let me know what you think I'd love to hear...
