Was in the area this week and decided to give Puppy Tail Café a run based off the reviews of the Tonkatsu Sando. It was pretty quite on the day I stopped by but it was midweek and not too many people around but looks like the kind of place that would be packed on weekends with families and those fit types 😳 The lady who served me was very pleasant, one tonkatsu please, that’s why I was there, love a good Katsu 🤤 After a brief wait my order was ready. I grabbed a seat and dug in. It looked great, though a tad small for $15 compared to other sando’s. Now don’t get me wrong, the flavours on this bad boy were sensational, good balance of sauce with the salad and chicken. My only gripe is that it could do with just being a tad bit bigger. It comes with a side of salted potato chips but I still felt like I needed something else to fill the gap. Maybe the serving size would be great if I was dropping a few kegs (which I do need to do) but on this day I wanted a double handgrip Sando….which this has the potential to be. Overall give this a crack if you find yourself in the area, the flavours are worth the trip alone!

A super dog friendly cafe just opposite Blackman Park. They have pretty good coffee options and other cold drinks, I really enjoyed my Pineapple Blitz. They also have a small Japanese inspired menu which looks amazing and would love to try next time I am back there. They have a few dog friendly items on their menus for your favourite furry companion.

Great little cafe in a park Lots of dogs parade past as you enjoy your coffee With the dogs under various degrees of control, it adds to the enjoyment of the experience The coffee was surprisingly good, but my wife indicated that the biscuit was " OK" The fact I didn't get to have a taste leads me to believe it may have been better than indicated

Stopped by Puppy Tail Café on a chilly morning and was immediately struck by how lovely and welcoming the people were. I think they may be Japanese, and you can feel that quiet thoughtfulness in how they run things.

The tonkatsu sandwiches were absolutely delicious — crispy, comforting, and full of flavour. On a cold morning like this, a hot tonkatsu curry would have been perfect. After visiting Japan recently, a few small touches like that could make the menu something really special.

Highly recommend. I’ll...
