Most uncomfortable and rude experience ever. My boyfriend & I had a booking for this restaurant at 6PM on 7 Nov 2022 and arrived around 6:10PM, and were rudely greeted by the woman standing at the front. She didn't appear to be in uniform but the other waitresses were so I'm assuming she was a supervisor or manager. She then asked in a rude tone "Do you have a booking buddy??", to which my boyfriend then responded "Yes for (insert name) at 6PM". She apparently was deaf and didn't hear him and rudely cut him off by saying "So you have a booking or no?? Just two people??" which we then responded "Yes". She proceeded to roll her eyes and coldly sat us down at the table closest to the front of the restaurant. It was quite windy and we were cold so my boyfriend asked if we could be moved to a table further on the inside and all she could manage to say was "No buddy those tables are big not for two people". First of all what's with the use of the word "buddy"? Felt so degrading and she was speaking to us as if we were children. Two different waitresses (in uniform) who gave us our food were kind and checked in on us. However we noticed the rude woman (not in uniform) had a sudden change of tone when other customers of caucasian descent entered the restaurant. For context, my boyfriend & I are asian. I am not one who brings race into anything but this situation is quite blatantly obvious. We noticed that she did not refer to the caucasian customers as "buddy" as she did to my boyfriend and was suddenly so friendly towards them, loudly greeting them and treating them like her best friends. She completely disregarded our existence the entire time while checking in on the other customers regularly. This made us so uncomfortable that we sat in silence and just wanted to quickly finish our food and leave. When my boyfriend went to pay for our food, AGAIN she condescendingly asked him "How was it BUDDY?" without even looking up to acknowledge him or even greet him goodbye. As I mentioned I hate being the one to bring race into stuff or even writing a review like this but it's literally 2022 and I'm shocked and disgusted by how someone can have this kind of behaviour in this day and age. My boyfriend & I are young asian-Australian borns and speak with an Aussie accent (not that it even matters anyway? There's no excuse for racism.) so we don't understand why we were treated this way. I'm sure Kazzi does not condone racism as I've seen in one of their earlier replies to someone who had a similar experience to me. However you should maybe reconsider your choice in staff and what their morals are. Do...
Read moreTLDR: Decline in food quality and missing items when ordering online (due to a mismatch between the UberEats receipt and the business delivery receipt). After months of not ordering, tried again and same unsatisfactory results from orders a week apart.
I ordered from here multiple times in the past (single items) and it was good then.
Recently using UberEats I ordered a meal, but when it came an item was missing. The main was something I had not tried before, it was okay for the most part with 2 inedbile bits of lamb. Uber refunded me the missing item, but what I noticed was that on the receipt stapled to the delivery, said item was missing (whereas the online receipt shows the item). Mistakes happen that is fine.
So a week later I ordered from them again and the same issue with the missing items (with the same receipt anomaly). This time I ordered a combo wrap I had not ordered before. It was not good, the wrap wasn't really wrapped with everything falling out, the chips were burnt and all went into the bin. Only thing up to par was the can of drink in the $30 combo: not good.
Back to this receipt discrepancy. I feel the reason this is happening is because the store runs our of stock and do not update UberEats to reflect that. In a best case there is a technical glitch, in a worst case apathy in disrespect to the consumer.
The results of consistently missing items in an order:
EDIT: Removed attributing the partial orders solely to malicious intent.
I appreciate the swift follow up from the business. But as I have exclusively dealt with you through UberEats, the remediation will go through UberEats.
EDIT2: UberEats refunded me completely. They didn't seem to care about the root cause. So may be an issue still, I wont risk ordering...
Read moreVisit: Friday 9 May 2025, between 10–11am. Ordered a flat white and Egg Saganaki.
I wouldn’t have stepped into this café if it hadn’t been raining. I stood at the entrance where the sign is. A waitress saw me clearly, avoided eye contact, and walked away. Another waiter eventually seated me, took my order, and served the food promptly. His service was appreciated—no complaints there.
However, the same waitress brought me my cutlery, placing it oddly across the table rather than on the side. It wasn’t a big deal on its own, but combined with her other behaviours, it left an impression. When I went to pay at the counter, she saw me waiting (just as she had earlier) and again, deliberately looked away and served another table. Another waiter eventually assisted me with the bill—his curt, condescending laugh when I said my experience was “great” felt like the final sting.
Throughout my visit, I noticed tables around me were greeted in a noticeably warmer tone, using full sentences and friendly gestures. With me, it was single words, minimal acknowledgment, and clear detachment.
I've check your past reviews, and I’ve read past responses from management noting the team is multicultural, and therefore racism is unlikely. But I’d like to gently point out that unconscious bias and subtle exclusion can still occur, even in diverse environments. It’s not always about overt discrimination—sometimes it’s the consistent absence of basic courtesy, a pattern of coldness, or being treated as invisible.
I’m not here to sabotage ratings, but I do believe in accountability. This review is for that staff member: if you’re in hospitality, every guest deserves to be treated with dignity—regardless of background. If you find that hard to uphold, this may not be the right...
