Thanks guys, lovely place to be and no complaint for service and food , one point lost was music not fit environment. Please take my advise . Both waiters are nice and kind , will introduce your food and how to eat it . Time controls and top up on time . Definitely deserve tips. This place is very busy please give them time to pick up your call and back to you if you wait in front door . Dinner open 16:00pm-22:00pm, please make reservation if possible . NO BYO It is a Modern JP food place ,when you first walk in this place you feel like “hold one . This is not a sushi place .” Sabi mix OZ soul in JP food . Relax but everything still keep details. I had four dish by myself , can’t stop and absolutely love most of them . Must try item is opening with double double gyoza , trust me this is the gyoza you never had in your life .made with Waugh beef cheese ,Mac sauce and veggies. First bit with full mouth of Wagyu , but you still have this Mac and cheese favorite. What a companion!!! I always order Karage in JP restaurants, this dish is not easy , sabi did 7/10 , crisp and chicken is not too dry . Favor was just ok , keep your double double gyoza sauce for this karage ,You will thank me late . Main dish I had is dank , seafood sushi roll, fresh but not fishy . You also can request Nigir . Last one I had is chicken yakitori , not recommend, it is not traditional yakitori , more like chicken meat ball ,I am not a fan with this one . All in all , lovely place to be , if you want to try all dish in one go , ask your friends of four , come together with you and try set menu .

Popped in after a swim at Manly beach following a suggestion from a work college who lives in the area. They just said "you must try the sh*tballs". Got my attention and on the walk back to the ferry I tried them. They were good but a number of the other things I tried were even better in my view. The double double gyoza was brilliant. New tastes for me with the pickles, "big Mac sauce" and parmesan. Excellent. Service was on point but to be fair I came early and just joined them at the bar so not at their busiest. Place is welcoming and open. I hope to be back.

Jade and Zee are exceptional at what they do. From the second we were greeted to leaving, we were made to feel welcome and also nourished with the delicious taste sensations (love the Prawn & Scallop Toast!). Jade is absolutely delightful and gave the same attention to us as she gave to all the customers around us. This is our second visit after enjoying the Chef'sTasting Menu with our family the week before Christmas. Having returned to Japan in November, it is wonderful to experience a slice of Japanese heaven here at Sunset Sabi. Well done Team SS! Arigatou

Sunset Sabi was recently recommended to us by a waiter at another great restaurant in Manly (we went back to thank her) as a good new Asian fusion style restaurant. It's so popular that we needed to book a table for dinner online and it was worth the effort. It's not huge, has both outside and inside seating and was full. Staff are both friendly and knowledgeable explaining the style of food and the specific nature of each dish. We ordered a sequence of tapas sized dishes including vegetables panfried gyozai, delightfully crunchy tempura corn (fritters but at elevated to the next level), nigiri sushi and Don rolls containing "crunchies" as well as salmon and avocado . Different and delicious. We rounded off with a fine soba salad which included white fetta for its sour dimension. Really good food. We stayed dry and the food went really well with a great lemongrass-yuzu-lime lemonade for company. Great service evenly paced and attentive and good value. We would be happy to return and to recommend Sunset Sabi for both fun and excellent food and bar menu...

This one is a bit hard for me. I'd say I am a bit outside the demographic. Let me say, most importantly, for a restaurant, the food is spectacular. We went as a family and our sons did the ordering. Out came some sumptuous dishes most of which I can't name. Our young waitress was attentive, helpful and informative . Overall the service was excellent. So up to now everything was very positive. This is what I meant by saying it has a younger demographic. It has all hard surfaces and is very noisy. To some that wouldn't matter but we found conversation difficult. Fun atmosphere , with people enjoying the experience, as the night wore on the noise levels increased. So a fun place, with incredible food and good service that's a 5 star place. It is expensive. The cheapest bottle of Rose is $88. We had a glass instead. So my recommendation is if you are keen on good food in a vibrant fun environment and you have plenty of money, it's worth a try. In my case, the noise and the cost means despite a great meal and service I'm unlikely...
