Sadly, not the restaurant we remembered. Hadn't been for a long time and decided to get takeaway. It was super disappointing 😥. Ordered special fried rice, comb chow mein with crispy noodles and 2 chicken & corn soup - $60! Got home and noodles were on top of chow mein and not the crispy type we are used to in the paper bag. I took all the dry yuk noodles out to see a pittance of a serve of chow mein. Called to say they didn't get my order right and the serve was small. She said that's the way they do it and the noodles in the bag is 'old fashioned'! And, she 'thanked' me for my feedback! No apology or offer to fix. I should have tasted the food before I called! Probably the worst Chinese meal I have had for a very long time! Super disappointing! The chow mein had no flavour, the rice was disgusting with tiny little prawns - nothing special about it and not packed in tight like every other place does and $17.50! Still haven't eaten the soup! I was so disgusted after eating the other I jumped on to write this review. I usually only post a review if I absolutely love something or I am absolutely disappointed. I feel ripped off! They say they are the same owners but I have my doubts. We would have eaten in a couple of weeks ago if they hadn't been closed on a Tuesday for my MIL's birthday and a trip down memory lane. We ended up at Hills Garden on the cnr Hezlett Rd & Samantha Riley Drive Kellyville. It was amazing! Absolutely delicious! We also like Fortuna Gardens at Winston Hills to eat in and we go there regularly. Schofields Chinese Takeaway is good too. I would go to any of these before going to Kellyville Chinese. So sad to say, we were eating here when it used to be Chakes Kitchen in the 80's. Only stopped eating here regularly when covid hit. Based on tonight I would not go back. For $60 I would not risk it again. End of an era for me. Try the others. Even the Chinese at Riverstone RSL is amazing and super cheap! It's a long review and no malice intended, just how genuinely...
Read moreWhere do i begin. This restaurant has been my most favourite Chinese and Malaysian restuarant since i can remember. The restuarant use to be located in 'The Piazza, Castle Towers' for over 10 years, however it has now relocated here in Kellyville and we continue to keep on coming!
Spicy chicken Wings are an all time favourite of mine and many other customers i see when i come on in. With their very own special spicy salt recipe, you will need your own plate of wings to enjoy all to yourself!
Their chinese dishes are always so delicious! Salt and Pepper Prawns, Satay Chicken, Honey Black Pepper Fillet Steak and Black Bean Beef are all time favourites!
They honestly have the most fresh San Choy Bow and Spring rolls around. Singapore Noodles, Hainan Chicken, Laksa and Malaysian Curry Chicken have always been popular authentic Malaysian dishes too that i have enjoyed!
The staff give the most friendly, professional and kind service too, making you enjoy your experience even more. You can order over the phone for free delivery minimum $35 or come on in as a couple or with a big group and experience a Chinese way of eating with their spinning tables while watching their...
Read moreTucked away in an unassuming corner, Kellyville Chinese Restaurant delivers huge on flavour. This cozy Chinese eatery is the kind of place you stumble upon once and keep coming back to — because it’s just that good.
I ordered the char kway teow, and honestly, it blew me away. Delightful, savoury, and just the right amount of spice — it was everything this beloved noodle dish should be. The flavours were spot-on, and the balance of textures — from the right cooked noodles to the tender prawns and crisp bean sprouts — was perfection in every bite.
What made the experience even better was the genuine warmth from the staff. You can tell this place is run with love. It feels like eating at a friend’s house who just happens to be an incredible cook.
If you’re after authentic flavours, generous portions, and that comforting vibe you only get from a true neighbourhood favourite, do yourself a favour and check out Kellyville Chinese Restaurant. The char kway teow alone is worth the trip — but I have a feeling everything else on the menu is just as amazing.
