French's Forest KFC has the best KFC that I have ever been to since eating KFC when I was young in 1998 for the premiere of Godzilla. The rooms and toilets are so crystal clean compared to Bankstown
The toilets in KFC Bankstown South are all messy, the tables are 20 times dirtier and the chicken gave me food poisoning and it wasn't even the same recipe. The chicken did not have the same taste and was flavorless with poor quality and was miniature sized and full of skin with little meat. The potato chips were terrible at Bankstown and there was literally no KFC salt taste. When I ate KFC in Bankstown it was like I was in a different restaurant. The Chicken made me sick and was greasy and the drumsticks were tiny
I went to Milperra KFC (next to the Bankstown Airport) and had to return the chicken for a refund. It was one of the worst chickens that made me sick to my stomach. The problem with Burwood KFC was that they made the chicken so that you couldn't eat it because the way they heated the chicken, the inside of the chicken would burn your mouth like it was made with lava and the outside of the chicken was cold. I grew up in Roselands and it was my home and I remember that the KFC at Roselands used to have chicken that was as good as Frenchs Forest back when I was a kid but times change and now the chicken was terrible and the gravy was like eating snot
The chicken and potato chips in Frenchs Forest is almost like the same KFC that I used to eat back in the old days reminiscent of it with high quality. This is the KFC that I miss and now I can see how much different the food quality in a terrible area is that I would rather drive all the way for over 1 hour to eat this KFC. I thought that it was just my aged tastebuds and that I was hallucinating but it turned out not to be the case
French's Forest KFC is so much better than Bankstown South KFC that I appreciate it exists. Its like being on another planet. And literally does kfc justice for how they butchered the rest of the chicken in Sydney.
It's a 100% fact that in Sydney McDonalds, Hungry Jack's, Oporto and every other big supermarket like Woolworths and all of the big food franchises have made the quality of their food a lot worse than it used to be but this one KFC restaurant stood out and is reminiscent of how KFC used to originally be.
There was a time when Streets icecreams Magnum Ego, Pringles, Smiths chips and Cheezels (which is now all corn and no cheese) used to have such high quality and now they've been turned to nothing with their recipes ruined. Including turning tic tacs into literal jawbreaking diamonds. Or Hungry Jack's ruining the original grilled chicken burger. Or Krispy Kreme ruining all of their doughnuts with the poor dough quality instead of the once soft pillowy dough along with the strawberry cream quality which used to be the best while making them twice as expensive. If something becomes twice as expensive I don't expect the quality to become twice as bad.
For the first time in a long time I actually managed to eat all of the chicken including the skin without even getting sick because the quality of this chicken was so good.
If anything KFC Bankstown South deserves 1.5 out of 5 stars and French's Forest KFC deserves 10 stars out of 5
I hope this recipe in this place never changes. Other people have complained that they are not the best but I've been to about 200 different KFC's and they're all 20 times worse. So I am flabbergasted. If there is a KFC that's better than this one it must be a rare one on Mars that Elon Musk has yet to discover.
A lot of people like to complain about little bits of food or rubbish on the floor or on the table but they haven't seen real mess like I have and I'm sure people have seen worse than me.
I am grateful and I know Mr Sanders approves Frenchs Forest.
All I can say is that if you think this KFC isn't good enough, fast forward and time travel to the future to try Bankstown South KFC (but I actually prefer that you don't) and you may appreciate this KFC compared to Bankstown. By...
Read moreA Measured Evaluation of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
A recent gastronomic investigation necessitated a visit to a local establishment of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) chain. KFC, of course, is a ubiquitous presence in the fast-food landscape, celebrated for its offerings of fried chicken. While the prospect of a familiar and time-tested culinary experience held some appeal, the actual exploration proved to be somewhat underwhelming.
The ambience of the establishment leaned decidedly towards functionality. The décor, devoid of ostentation, prioritized swift service over lingering indulgence. The aural environment was a cacophony of automated pronouncements and hurried foot traffic, hardly conducive to a refined dining experience.
The menu, presented with commendable clarity, showcased a repertoire centered on various iterations of breaded and fried chicken. Opting for the Colonel's Original Recipe, a legendary preparation purportedly imbued with a secret blend of eleven herbs and spices, I eagerly awaited the arrival of my chosen victuals.
Unfortunately, the presentation left much to be desired. The chicken pieces, nestled within a disposable container, displayed a disconcerting inconsistency in their golden coating. Certain portions achieved a laudable crispness, while others succumbed to a disappointing sogginess. This textural disparity cast a pall over the initial visual impression.
Upon closer examination, the vaunted blend of herbs and spices, while detectable, seemed to be shrouded in a curious veil of timidity. The anticipated explosion of flavor remained frustratingly subdued, leaving the palate with a sense of unfulfilled anticipation. The accompanying mashed potatoes, though undeniably of a smooth consistency, possessed a bland neutrality that cried out for a touch of invigorating seasoning.
The sole redeeming element within this otherwise homogenous landscape proved to be the coleslaw. This refreshing medley of shredded cabbage, bathed in a piquant and tangy dressing, offered a welcome counterpoint to the heaviness of the fried chicken. Its inclusion demonstrated a flicker of culinary acumen, a recognition of the importance of contrasting textures and flavors within a cohesive meal.
In conclusion, while my recent visit to Kentucky Fried Chicken unearthed a nostalgic echo of simpler times, it ultimately failed to achieve the heights of culinary satisfaction. The hurried atmosphere, coupled with the inconsistency in the preparation of the signature dish, detracted from the overall experience. However, the inclusion of the zesty coleslaw offered a glimmer of hope, suggesting a potential for improvement through a renewed focus on culinary consistency and a touch of gastronomic finesse. Perhaps a future exploration will yield a more successful encounter with this iconic, albeit imperfect, institution within the Australian fast-food landscape.

Read moreAbsolutely AWFUL experience! Incompetant people working within the drive-thru. I asked in regards to my order three times if it was fine and correct. He said yes!? Just as to how i ordered it. Then, I asked the man who handed me my order twice and he said it was. I drive off and decided to look 5 minutes away and go figure, it's completely incorrect???!!! I wanted original and got zinger. A piece of chicken was missing and their inability to ever add chicken salt is just incomprehensible. I drove back. So now i have wasted 10 minutes back and forth. Then the manager did not offer any apologies or anything to amend their mistakes and my troubles had at all. Did not fix the problem! Therefore, i asked for a refund as she couldn't comprehend what they did wrong,. So, i figured asking for a refund was the easiest of solutions in this scenario. So, i received my refund and handed over my meal. With no meal now, I have to waste more time to go elsewhere, however, i am so much happier to give my money to people that know how to serve, instead of getting an incorrect order and such terrible customer service!
. KFC Dee Why is always a much better KFC at giving amazing service! FRECHES FOREST KFC HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, GET MOST OF MY ORDERS WRONG AND ARE NEVER WILLING TO APOLOGISE OR AMEND...
