I have ordered from this store many times. They regularly forget to include my sweet and sour sauce, which seems to be standard procedure at all KFCs, so there are no surprises there. I solve this reoccurring problem by ordering more sauces than I need each time so that when they forget I have some on hand.
However, the last time I ordered from this store I received burnt, overcooked, dry chicken. So I posted a complaint on the app and waited for them to contact me, as they had done in the past once before when they sent me the wrong order. However, this time I did not receive a call, so I went in to the store on the weekend to let them know. I explained the situation to the manager on duty and she was unbelievably rude. She basically told me it’s got nothing to do with them and that I needed to make my complaint with Door Dash. I explained that the issue wasn’t caused by the delivery provider as it’s not their job to cook the chicken. I then told her that I had a photo of the burnt chicken I received and she told me that they would never burn chicken; strongly implying that I was lying. So I showed her the photo which she completely dismissed. She told me it’s still not her problem and that I should just leave the store and talk to Door Dash. I asked for her name so I could report her but she refused to tell me so I took a photo of her so I could prove who she was to her superior. After I left the store I went back on the app to make another complaint, as she had so rudely instructed me to do so. This time I spoke with someone and they told me I needed to speak directly to the store, as it was the store’s responsibility. I told him I had already spoken with the store and he said he’d message them directly and that someone would be in touch within 3 business days. It’s been two weeks and still no call.
Needless to say, I’m done with this KFC. You can take a look at the burnt chicken below so you know what to expect. If someone at this KFC actually cares about my experience then please contact me.
I don't care so much about the burnt chicken, to be honest, these things happen. The rudeness of the manager is what gets me. She even told the staff not to serve me if I tried to order again. Read moreI called into KFC today (Sunday 21 May):with my granddaughter and her friend (14 and 11) on our way home after quite a long walk in very windy weather, I asked if they would like a drink as we approached KFC and of course they did, so I ordered 2 frozen Mountain Dew and a box of the new “mashies” which my grandson had recommended a few days before. It was a small order and very straIghtforward so, I joined those waiting for their orders and waited…And waited…and waited. I asked 2 people close by how long they had been waiting and both (plus others who heard me ask):replied “about 15 minutes”. It became busier and after 35 minutes I gave up and asked for my money back. One poor fellow who was there before me said he would have to wait as he was getting food for himself and workmates. There were 6 young (say 14 year olds) who were clambering to see the order board and asking each other “which one are you doing”. They were hot, disorganised and no-one appeared to be taking charge, although there was a girl who looked older and had a mouthpiece on but was as confused as the others. I have been there before and the girl who served me that time and today had no interest whatsoever in what she was doing, she was on “automatic” with not a Thankyou or smile, I think I get more polite acknowledgement from ALEXA ! All I asked was for some extra salt on the chips. I asked twice to ensure it was done but knowing this KFC has missed putting my extra salt on at least 3 times in the past I always double check and confirm.
I get my food and behold, there’s no salt on the chips. I kindly ask the young female staff member at the front, no acknowledgment, no apology, just took the food away from me. To top it off, she put my food on the bench and said “there you go”, again not acknowledging or apologising for a clear mistake on their behalf.
Very very disappointing. I suggest there should be some major training for a bit of maturity and customer service.
Food was good though so big thanks to the kitchen staff.
