What an experience at this pub last night ( Friday night )
A group of us were out celebrating a mate's birthday π₯³, we walked up to the bar to order the drinks and the way Sandy (who had a name badge ) was talking to people while taking orders was the worst customer service experience ever. As we started ordering she asked if we were paying card or cash, as we said cash weβre asked to move to other terminals where they have eftpos and pushed us to hurry up to pay and go back to the first terminal where the taps were to collect beers, then another staff red hair with piercing yells out hurry up guys people is waiting behind you and there was only 1 person behind us whereas 4 staff behind the bar who couldnβt even get 7 drinks order fast enough and mis pouring beers incorrectlyβ¦ π€¬
After the horrible customer service experience, we walked to find a seat and this red hair kept on yelling out about 6 times that the outdoors closed. We got your point but the way you guys talk to Your customer is absolutely absurd. The ambience was poor at its best with frozen and Encanto music playing on Friday night as we were only the customers in the bar. When we went back to order the blonde staff seemed to have a better attitude then others. As she started pouring a beer the redhead seemed to have been staring behind the kitchen came out to serve and was whinging she had to reheat her meals several times. I tell you I have never been to a pub where you talk to your customers in that manner.
After a few rounds of drinks as we all do we were having a good time, we were again approached by a redhead and told we were loud and sheβs turned up the music so she couldnβt be bothered. When a few of the boys said we are the only ones here why not turn up the music a bit higher and she replied we already did so the boys were done with the attitude so we...
Β Β Β Read moreI recently visited Lockies Pub with a group of friends, and our experience was profoundly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff on duty were unprofessional and lacked inclusiveness. Upon entering, we were met with a lack of warmth and welcome. The staff seemed disinterested and unengaged, which set a negative tone for the evening. As people of colour, we felt particularly uncomfortable with how we were treated compared to other patrons. There was a noticeable difference in the acknowledgment we received, making us feel like an afterthought rather than valued guests. The situation escalated when we raised a concern about a missing glass of whisky that we had paid for but never received. Instead of addressing our complaint with understanding, the staff responded defensively and ultimately asked us to leave by cross eyed woman. This reaction was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, as we were simply seeking resolution for a service issue. Overall, I would not recommend Lockies Pub if you're looking for a welcoming and respectful environment. Itβs essential for establishments to cultivate a culture of inclusivity and professionalism, and unfortunately, this was not reflected in our visit. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work towards creating a more respectful atmosphere for...
Β Β Β Read moreI was treated to dinner at this place by some friends. The tables are really clean and the doors are nicely air sealed. There's an exterior area but no smoking fumes can get inside. I was happily surprised to see how child friendly this place was too. Wide walking areas also reduce any accidents happening. The exposed ceiling area gives the place very spacious feel to it.
Okay, now the chips and burgers are really special. Zero grease on the plates and on my fingers when I pick up the burgers. The burger is a really filling one. Really requires 2 hands. A worth-your-money multi-chomper. The beets inside mix well with the nicely grilled patty inside. I'm glad gravy here has been made without excess sugar or salt. It's perfect. Enjoyed the meal so much we bought takeaway for someone who wasn't able to join us.
I tried the fish and chicken schnitzels and gosh they're yummy. Not too hard, not too watery. Not too salty and not too crumby. A very clean and well presented meal. Also, I had an apple cider given without a cap, this means less noisy rubbish on the table. A small detail I appreciate, especially when kids could easily pick it up and bite it, as I have seen happen twice elsewhere. I'm glad small details like this are considered.
A well...
