Macquarie Town Food Express — Restaurant in Sydney

Ordered the chicken schnitzel roll, which was decent, schnitzel is usually a safe bet, and this one was fine. That said, it felt like the schnitzel might have been pre-cooked from the day before, as the shop had just opened and they reheated it on the stove.

The staff were friendly, which I appreciated. However, the lady making my roll forgot I’d asked for aioli and used mayo instead. When I mentioned it, she tried to fix it but the aioli container was empty. She also forgot the cheese. Not a big issue on its own, but it does point to a lack of attention to detail and maybe a bit of disorganisation with stock and customer orders.

I also had to ask what sauces were available. it would’ve been nice to be offered the options up front.

Great local take away store with plenty of options on the menu. Always fantastic burgers and much better value than overpriced chains. I'm always left feeling full...
